Safety Notes

Digital Inspection Camera

Read all safety warnings and all instruc-

tions.

Failure to follow the warnings and in-

structions

m

ay result in electric shock, fire

and/or serious injury.

Have the inspection camera repaired only through a

qualified repair person and only using identical re-

placement parts.

This will ensure that the safety of the in-

spection ca

m

era is

m

aintained.

Do not operate the inspection camera in explosive at-

mospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liq-

uids, gases or dusts.

S

parks can be created in the inspec-

tion ca

m

era which

m

ay ignite the dust or fu

m

es.

Before any work on the inspection camera itself (e.g.

assembling, maintenance, etc.) as well as when trans-

porting and storing, remove the battery from the in-

spection camera.

Do not open the battery.

Danger of short-circuiting.

Protect the battery against heat, e. g., against

continuous intense sunlight, fire, water, and

moisture.

Danger of explosion.

When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from oth-

er metal objects like paper clips, coins, keys, nails,

screws, or other small metal objects that can make a

connection from one terminal to another.

S

horting the

battery ter

m

inals together

m

ay cause burns or a fire.

Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from

the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally oc-

curs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, addition-

ally seek medical help.

Liquid ejected fro

m

 the battery

m

ay cause irritations or burns.

In case of damage and improper use of the battery, va-

pours may be emitted. Ventilate the area and seek

medical help in case of complaints.

The vapours can irri-

tate the respiratory syste

m

.

Recharge only with the charger specified by the manu-

facturer.

A charger that is suitable for one type of battery

pack

m

ay create a risk of fire when used with another bat-

tery pack.

Use the battery only together with your Bosch inspec-

tion camera.

This is the only way to protect the battery

against dangerous overload.

Use only original Bosch batteries with the voltage list-

ed on the nameplate of your inspection camera.

When

using other batteries, e.g. i

m

itations, reconditioned bat-

teries or other brands, there is danger of injury as well as

property da

m

age through exploding batteries.

After the automatic shut-off of the inspection camera,

do not continue to press the On/Off button.

The battery

could beco

m

e da

m

aged.

Do not direct the light beam at persons or animals and

do not stare into the light beam yourself (not even from

a distance).

Check the working range before using the inspection

camera. No part of the inspection camera may come in-

to contact with electrical lines, moving parts or chemi-

cal substances. Interrupt the power circuit of electrical

lines in the working range.

These

m

easures reduce the

risk of explosion, electric shock and property da

m

age.

Wear appropriate protective equipment such as safety

glasses/goggles, protective gloves or respirator when

materials that are hazardous to one’s health are in the

working range.

S

ewer lines or si

m

ilar areas can contain

solid, liquid or gaseous substances, which

m

ay be toxic, in-

fectious, caustic or otherwise hazard to one’s health.

Pay particular attention to cleanness when working in

areas with substances that are hazardous to one’s

health. Do not eat during work.

Avoid contact with sub-

stances that are hazardous to one’s health. After finishing

your work, wash hands and other affected body parts that

m

ay have co

m

e into contact, with war

m

 soapy water.

Do not stand in water when using the inspection cam-

era.

When standing in water while working, there is a risk

of electric shock.

Magnet

Keep the magnet 15 away from cardiac

pacemakers.

The

m

agnet generates a field

that can i

m

pair the function of cardiac pace-

m

akers.

Keep the magnet 15 away from magnetic data medium

and magnetically-sensitive equipment.

The effect of the

m

agnetic can lead to irreversible data loss.

Technical Data

Assembly

Before any work on the inspection camera itself (e.g.

assembling, maintenance, etc.) as well as when trans-

porting and storing, remove the battery from the in-

spection camera.

Battery Charging

Use only the battery chargers listed on the graphics

page.

Only these battery chargers are

m

atched to the lith-

iu

m

-ion battery used in your inspection ca

m

era.

Note:

The battery is supplied partially charged. To ensure full

capacity of the battery, co

m

pletely charge the battery in the

battery charger before using your power tool for the first ti

m

e.

The Lithiu

m

-Ion battery can be charged at any ti

m

e without

reducing its service life. Interrupting the charging procedure

does not da

m

age the battery.

The battery is equipped with a NTC te

m

perature control

which allows charging only within a te

m

perature range of be-

tween 0 °C and 45 °C. A long battery service life is achieved

in this

m

anner.

Working Advice

Check the area that you want to inspect and pay particular at-

tention to obstructions or hazard areas.

Bend the ca

m

era cable

6

 in such a

m

anner that the ca

m

era

head can be easily inserted into the area subject to the inspec-

tion. Carefully guide the ca

m

era cable in.

Adjust the brightness of the illu

m

ination light

9

 so that the i

m

-

age can be seen well. For heavily reflecting objects, as an ex-

a

m

ple, less light will provide a better i

m

age.

When objects to be inspected are represented unsharp, re-

duce or increase the distance between ca

m

era head

7

 and ob-

ject.

If required, bend the ca

m

era cable

6

 in such a

m

anner that the

ca

m

era i

m

age is shown upright on display

5

.

Recommendations for Optimal Handling of the Battery

Protect the battery against

m

oisture and water.

S

tore the battery only within a te

m

perature range between

0 °C and 50 °C. As an exa

m

ple, do not leave the battery in the

car in su

mm

er.

A significantly reduced working period after charging indi-

cates that the battery is used and

m

ust be replaced.

Observe the notes for disposal.

Maintenance and Service

Maintenance and Cleaning

Do not i

mm

erse the hand unit

1

 into water or other fluids.

Keep the inspection ca

m

era clean at all ti

m

es. Clean the in-

spection ca

m

era and all auxiliary aids particularly thorough af-

ter having worked in areas with substances that are hazard-

ous to one’s health.

Wipe off debris using a

m

oist and soft cloth. Do not use any

cleaning agents or solvents.

Especially clean the lens

8

 of the ca

m

era regularly and pay at-

tention for any lint.

If the inspection ca

m

era should fail despite the care taken in

m

anufacture and testing, repair should be carried out by an

authorised custo

m

er services agent for Bosch power tools.

Do not open the inspection ca

m

era yourself.
