FIRST USE

Remove all packing materials from the inside and outside of 1he kettle.

BOIL FRESH WATER INSIDE THE KETTLE TWO TO THREE TIMES AND DISCARD

THE BOILED WATER BEFORE NORMAL USE.

HOW TO USE

Always use the appliance on a heat^resistant, flat surface.

Fill the kettle with the desired quantity of cold water between the Min. and Max,

level. You can either remove the lid to fill the kettle or fill through the spout.

Place the lid back on to the kettle.

Plug the kettle into the wall socket and press the 'OWOFF' switch to the ON posi^

tion. The power indicator fight will then be illuminated.

When the water has boiled, the kettle will switch off automatically.

FOLDING HANDLE FEATURE ^ The handle will fold down for easier access when

filling via the lid or if you need to clean the unit. To fold down the handle press

the red, handle release button and push the handle to the left or right.

Please note that you should only perform this operation when the kettle is cold.

CLEANING

It is extremely important to remember that cleaning of the kettle can only be per^

formed when the plug has been removed from the supply.

Never immerse any part of 1he kettle especially the cable and base plate into

water.

Cleaning should be performed when the kettle has cooled down.

Always ensure the electrical connections of the kettle remain absolutely dry.

Clean the kettle with a damp cloth. Do not use cleaning products, which can

cause health hazard or discoloration of the kettle.

Ensure the outside and the electrical connection parts of the kettle are.

DESCALING

• Descale the kettle regularly. With normal use at least twice a year.

• Fill the kettle up to MAX with a mixtrue of one part ordinary vinegar and two

parts water. Switch on and wait for the appliance to switch off automatically.

• Let the mixture remain inside the kettle overnight.

• Throw the mixture away the next morning.

• Fill the kettle wich clean water up to MAX and boil again.

• Throw away this boiled water to remove any remai.
