Danger

The engine requires approx. 3-4 seconds 

to come to a standstill once it has been 

switched off. During this time, stay well 

clear of the working area.



Turn ignition key to "0" and remove it.



Open the device hood and secure it us-

ing the hood support. 



Remove covering lid.



Check tension of drive belt and V-belt; 

also check for wear or damage.



Loosen the screw, reset the belt tight-

ener and tighten the screw again.



Replace covering lid.



Open the device hood and secure it us-

ing the hood support. 



Check chain tension; the chain should 

not deviate more than approx. 3...5 mm.



Tighten the chain if the tolerance is 

high:

1 Tightening pinion



Loosen the tightening screw on the rear 

side of the tightening pinion.



Press down the tightening pinion and 

fasten it with screws. 



Check the chain tension again. 

Note:

 With model 1.183-904.0, the fine 

dust filter is part of the scope of the deliv-

ery.



Tilt the suction head upward.

Pull out the spring plug.



Pull out the filter cleaner.



Turn out the 4 screws and remove the 

holder.



Remove both the flatfold filters and re-

place them with new flat fold filters. 



Replace holder and tighten the screws. 



Replace the filter cleaner handle.



Plug in the spring plug.

Check fuel system, connections and joints

Check fuse of electrical starter; replace if required. 

Charging battery

Check and clean spark plug, replace if necessary.

Engine is running erratically

Clean or replace air filter

Check fuel system, connections and joints

Inform Kärcher Customer Service.

Engine is running but machine is 

not moving

Check setting of freewheel lever

Inform Kärcher Customer Service.

Engine is running but machine is 

only moving slowly

Allow machine to warm up for approx. 3 minutes in sub-zero temperatures

Inform Kärcher Customer Service.

Insufficient vacuum performance

Check washers at the suction head

Open the exhaust openings of suction operations (only for Leaf Blower attachment set)

Clean the hole-plate or fine dust filter (in Fine dust filter attachment set) in the suction head
