4. Initial use

Changing the weight unit

In basic set-up, the scale displays values in kg. You can set the device to measure in kilograms (“kg”),

pounds (“lb”) and stones (“st”) using the switch on the back of the device.

Inserting the batteries (3 x 1.5 V AA Micro)

Please remove the battery insulating strips and/or position the batteries correctly with regards to the

polarity displayed in the battery compartment. If the scale fails to operate, remove the batteries com-

pletely and reinsert them.

Set time and date

The time can be changed by removing and reinserting the batteries or, if the scale is o, by holding the

SET button for 3 seconds.

To set the time, follow these steps: hour – minute.

The setting to be changed will flash each time.

To change a setting, press the buttons and .

To save the setting and move onto the next one, or to close the setting, press the SET button.

Setting user data

The scale comes equipped with 10 locations for storing user data and space for more than 5 measure-

ment values per user. You and, for example, the members of your family can save and later access the

following personal settings in the storage locations:

or buttons. Press SET to confirm.

Similarly, when entering data proceed as follows: use

Note: Without entering this data, it is not possible to calculate the BMI.

Setting up the scale

Set up the scale on a level and solid surface. A solid surface is a prerequisite for a correct measurement.

5. Operation

a. Weighing only

Step onto the scale (Fig. 1). Stand still. The time and temperature

are displayed and the current weight is measured (Fig. 2). The

measurement is complete when the weight unit stops flashing.

The scale switches itself o after approx. 15 seconds.
