1. About the unit
The hair dryer is suitable for drying and professionally styling your hair.
With the two blower levels and three heat levels, you can adjust the hair dryer to your individual
needs.
The additional cold air level serves to better hold your hairstyle in place.
With the professional concentrator nozzle, you can target where you style your hair. The diuser
attachment lends your hair additional volume.
The protection function creates the right balance between heat and airflow. This protects your hair
from drying out and preserves the brilliance of its colour.
The integrated ion technology neutralises your hair using negatively charged ions.
This prevents static charge from building up in your hair.
An automatic shuto protects the unit from overheating.
The removable filter makes it easy to remove any lint, dust and hair that has been sucked in.
The unit is intended only for the purposes described in this instruction manual.
The manufacturer cannot be held liable for any damages that are caused through improper or
careless use.
2. Signs and symbols
The following symbols appear in these instructions or on the unit.
Danger The unit must not be used in the vicinity of water or in water
(e.g. washbasin, shower, bathtub) – risk of electric shock!
Warning Warning instruction indicating a risk of injury or damage to
health.

3. Intended use
The hair dryer must be used only for individual, private drying and professional styling of your hair!
Warning
Use the unit only:
• For external use
• For the purpose for which it was developed and in the manner specified in these instructions for
use.
Any improper use can be dangerous!
The unit carries the CE mark and complies with the following EU directives:
• 2006/95/EC the Low Voltage Directive
• 2004/108/EC the EMC Directive
4. Safety instructions for your health
Warning
To prevent harm to your health, we urgently recommend that you not use the unit in the fol-
lowing situations:
• If the unit, mains cable/plug or accessories are visibly damaged. When in doubt, do not use the
unit and contact your dealer or the customer service address provided.
To avoid harm to your health, observe the following points:
• People (including children) who are not able to use the unit safely due to their physical, sensory or
mental abilities or their lack of experience or knowledge must not use this unit without supervision
or instruction by a responsible person.
• Children must be supervised when using the unit.
• Pull the cord out of the socket by the mains plug only.
• For additional protection, we recommend installing a residual-current device (RCD) with a rated
current of no more than 30 mA in the electrical circuit of the bathroom. More information can be
obtained from your local electrical supply store.
• Do not use any add-on parts that are not recommended by the manufacturer or oered as an
accessory.

• The removable filter [3], air inlet and air outlet [2] of the hair dryer must be free of lint, dust and hair
that has been sucked in – fire hazard!
• The hair dryer, blower and air inlet must not be covered – fire hazard!
• Keep metallic objects (e.g. jewellery) away from the air inlet to prevent them from being sucked in
– risk of electric shock!
• Never open or attempt to repair the unit yourself, as otherwise proper function is no longer guaran-
teed. Failure to observe this regulation shall void the warranty.
• If the unit malfunctions or is damaged, have it repaired by a qualified specialised workshop.
• Do not use the unit if it has fallen or been dropped on the floor or is otherwise damaged.
• Do not insert any objects into the housing!
• Do not use an extension cord in the bathroom, so that you can quickly reach the mains plug in an
emergency.
• Never leave the unit unsupervised during operation.
• Do not use the unit in the open air.
• If you give the unit to a third party, you must include these instructions for use.
Danger
• When the hairdryer is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since the proximity of water presents
a hazard even when the hairdryer is switched o.
• Never use the unit in the vicinity of bathtubs, washbasins, showers or other vessels containing
water or other liquids – risk of electric shock!
• If the unit falls into water despite all safety precautions, remove the plug from the socket immedia-
tely! Do not reach into the water!
• Before using the unit again, have it checked by an authorised specialised workshop! Risk of fatal
injury from electric shock!
• Never immerse the unit in water or another liquid!
Before using the unit for the first time
Warning
• Keep children away from packaging materials – risk of suocation!
• Before you use the unit for the first time, remove all packaging materials.
• Plug the unit into a socket with the voltage specified on the identification plate only.

6. Operation
Important
• Do not jam the mains cable [8] e.g. in a drawer or door.
• Straighten the mains cable [8] if it becomes twisted.
• Do not pull, twist or kink the mains cable [8]; do not pull or lay it across/on sharp, pointy objects or
hot surfaces.
Warning
• Stand on a dry, electrically non-conductive surface.
• Ensure that your hands are dry!
• Dry your hair beforehand with a towel.
• Depending on the switch setting and duration of use, the volume diuser [1], professional nozzle
[9] and hair dryer can become very hot – burn and fire hazard!
• Do not touch the volume diuser [1] and the professional nozzle [9].
• Let the volume diuser [1] and professional nozzle [9] cool down first before you remove them.
• Place the hair dryer only on a non combustible surface.
• Ensure that there are no highly flammable liquids in the vicinity of the unit.
• Do not use the unit on artificial hair – fire hazard!
• Ensure that no hair can be directly sucked in.
Note
After switching on the unit for the first time, a light odour develops for the first minutes. This is
normal and not hazardous to your health. Let the unit run for three to five minutes. Then you can use
the unit normally.
• If the unit becomes overheated, it switches o automatically for your safety.
• Remove the plug from the socket and let the unit cool down.
• Before switching the unit on again, check the air outlet [2] and the filter [3] for blockage (e.g.
sucked-in lint, dust, hair).
• Switch on the travel hair dryer via the slide switch [6.1]:
Strong airflow
Gentle airflow
• Select the heat level:
High temperature
Medium temperature
Low temperature
• Dry and/or style your hair as you wish.
After each use/interruption, always set the hair dryer slide switch [6.1] to o (position 0).

Selecting the function
The hair dryer has three functions which you can select via the slide switch [5] and the cold air
button [4]:
Function Description
Protection function:
For drying hair gently. The temperature is limited to
about 55 to 62 °C and held constant.
Normal drying:
For drying your hair using various temperature settings
that you can set with the heat level slide switch [6.2].
Cold air:
The cold level oers the perfect styling finish. It cools
down your hair and holds it in place for a better result.
You can enable the cold level at any time by holding
down the button. As soon as you release the button,
the previously selected heat level returns.
Accessories
The following attachments are provided:
• Volume diuser [1]: Gives the hairstyle volume and vitality.
• Professional nozzle [9]: Enables targeted and precise styling and shaping.
After use
• Remove the plug from the socket after each use.
• Let the unit cool down.
• Do not wind the mains cable around the unit!
• Store the unit in a dry place that is out of reach of children.
• The unit can be hung on a hook by the hanging eyelet [7].
7. Cleaning and care of the unit
Notes
• Your unit is maintenance-free.
• Protect the unit from dust, dirt and moisture.

Cleaning
Important
• Always remove the plug from the socket before cleaning.
• Ensure that no water enters the inside of the unit!
• Do not wash the unit in a dishwasher!
• Do not use any strong, sharp, abrasive, corrosive cleaning
agents or hard brushes!
• Do not clean it with any highly flammable liquids!
• The housing of the hair dryer and the accessories can be
cleaned with a soft cloth that has been moistened with warm
water.
• Before each use, use a brush to free the air outlet [2] and the
filter [3] of lint, dust and hair that has been sucked in.
• The filter [3] can be removed for cleaning.

9. Disposal
In the interest of protecting the environment, the unit must not be thrown out with the household
waste at the end of its service life.
Dispose of the unit at a suitable local collection or recycling point.
Observe the local regulations for material disposal.
Dispose of the unit in accordance with EC Directive 2002/96/EC–WEEE (Waste Electrical
and Electronic Equipment).
If you have any questions, please contact the local authorities responsible for waste disposal.
You can find out about collection points for your old units e.g. from the local municipal government,
the local waste disposal company or your dealer.
