IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

Please read these operating instructions carefully in order to avoid damage due to incorrect use and keep it for future

reference.

Before the first switching on check that the voltage indicated on the rating label corresponds to the mains voltage in

your home.

Incorrect operation and improper handling can lead to malfunction of the appliance and injuries to the user.

For home use only. Do not use for industrial purposes.

Always unplug the appliance from the power supply when not in use.

Do not immerse the unit, cord or plug in water or other liquids. If it has happened, remove the plug from the wall

socket immediately and have the unit checked by an expert before using it again.

In order to avoid danger replacement of the damaged power cord should be performed by the manufacturer or

service centre authorized by the manufacturer, or experienced qualified personnel only.

Ensure that the cord does not hang over sharp edges and keep it away from hot surfaces.

To disconnect the appliance from the power supply pull it by the plug only, not by the cord.

Place the appliance on a dry stable non-hot surface, away from hot objects (e.g. hotplates); do not place under

curtains and shelves.

Never leave the appliance not supervised during use.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental

capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning

use of the appliances by a person responsible for their safety.

Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock

or injury to users.

Do not operate the appliance while it is empty or without water in the reservoir.

The food steamer and components are not for use in ovens (microwave, convection or conventional) or on stove-top.

Be very careful when moving an appliance containing hot food or water or other hot liquids.

Lift and open cover carefully to avoid scalding and allow water to drip into bowl.

If the product has been exposed to temperatures below 0ºC for some time it should be kept at room temperature for

at least 2 hours before turning it on.

The manufacturer reserves the right to introduce minor changes into the product design without prior notice, unless

such changes influence significantly the product safety, performance, and functions.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

Wash thoroughly all bowls and detachable parts in warm, soapy water before the first use; then rinse and dry

carefully.

Wipe inside the water basin with a damp cloth.

HOW TO USE FOOD STEAMER

Place the appliance on a flat, steady surface.

Fill the water reservoir with clean water only. Do not put any other liquids or add any salt, pepper, etc. in the water

reservoir. Make sure that water is below the maximum level and above the minimum level.

Place the drip tray and bowls on the base

NOTE: Water should never be filled below the minimum level.

Place big pieces of food with longest cooking time in the bottom bowl.

You can fill water from the water inlet without moving any steaming bowl.

FLAVOUR BOOSTER

If necessary, will put dry or fresh greenery or seasonings in Flavour booster for giving of additional aromas the

prepared food. A thyme, koriandr, basil, dill, karri and tarragon, splendidly befit for Flavour booster. To them it is

possible to add a garlic, cumin or horse-radish for strengthening of taste without addition salt.

COOKING IN THREE STEAM BOWLS

Using three bowls you can cook different dishes at the same time. Bear in mind, that flavour and smell of all products

must be compatible, because juice and fat blending can spoil the dishes.

When handling and removing hot components, use POT-HOLDERS to avoid burns from hot steam.

OPERATION

Plug in the appliance to the wall outlet, You will hear the beep. The display will show ”OF”

Press the key Function/OFF once. The Heating indicator will light up (Heating). The display automatically will

show cooking time 30 minutes. If you do not set the cooking time during 10 seconds the appliance will start working

automatically. The countdown timer by minute will start .

If you want to set cooking time, press the Timer key several times. Maximum cooking time that can be set is 60

minutes. After 10 seconds the appliance will start working. The countdown timer by minute will start.

When the cooking time is finished the appliance will switch off automatically. You will hear the beep. The display will

show ”OF”. The Heating indicator will go out

KEEP WARM FUNCTION

Press the key Function/Off twice. The indicator of keep warm function will light up (Keep warm). The display will

show”00”. After 10 seconds the keep warm function will switch on for 2 hours. When the time of keep warm function

is finished the appliance will switched off automatically. The keep warm indicator will to out and display will show

”OF”

You can turn off the keep warm function manually pressing the key Function/OFF once

TIME BOOKING OF KEEP WARM FUNCTION

If you need to warm up the food to the time you want, choose the keep warm function, press the key timer to set

booking timer from 10 min to 900 min. You can set booking time at night and you will have heated breakfast in the

morning

For example, you need to warm up the food in 100 minutes, set the time 1.0, if you need to hot dish in 40 minutes,

set 0.4. Each time by pressing the key timer

time will be increased on 10 minutes, In 10 seconds the

countdown timer will start. The Keep warm function will switch on when the booking time is finished

REHEATING BREAD AND HALF-PREPAREAD FOOD

Do not wrap or cover bread when reheating.

For half-prepared food, reheating time depends on the foods’ freezing temperature.

When reheating half-prepared food in the rice bowl, put half-prepared food accurately in the rice bowl and use an

aluminum foil to cover.

RICE & GRAINS

Place rice or other foods with sauce or liquid in the rice bowl. Cover the lid. Plug the unit into wall outlet. Set the

timer. When the time is over, buzzer will ring and the indicator light will go out. Unplug the unit and carefully take off

the bowls.

There are many types of rice. Follow specific istructions for each type.

Check consistency of rice at minimum time specified for each type, stirring rice at the same time.

Rice may be seasoned with salt, pepper or butter after steaming.

VEGETABLES

Clean the vegetables thoroughly, cut off stems; trim; peel or chop if necessary. Small pieces steam faster than large

ones.

Quantity, quality, freshness, size and temperature of frozen food, may affect steam timing. Adjust water amounts and

cooking time as desired.

Frozen vegetables should not be defreezed before steaming.

If some frozen vegetables are placed in the rice bowl, they should be covered with a piece of aluminum foil during

steaming.

Frozen products should be separated or stirred after 10-12 minutes. Use a long handle fork/spoon to separate or stir

foods.

FISH AND SEAFOOD

Steaming times listed in the chart are for fresh, or frozen and fully thawed seafood and fish. Clean and prepare fresh

seafood and fish before steaming.

Most fish and seafood cook very quickly. Steam in small portions or in amounts as specified.

Clams, oysters and mussels may open at different times. Check the shells to avoid overcooking.

You may steam fish fillets in the rice bowl; serve steamed seafood and fish plain or use seasoned butter or

margarine, lemon or favorite sauces.

Adjust steaming times accordingly.

MEAT, CHICKEN

The taste of meat will be more pleasant if the meat has been presoaked in soya sauce or other seasoning prior to

cooking.

To check whether the meat is ready, use fork or knife. This can also be determined by the thickness and clarity of the

leaking fat.

You can improve the taste of foods by adding various spices during cooking.
