Next, select one of the operation modes: SensoCare or
Manual Mode, then confirm.
A SensoCare
In SensoCare mode, intelligent sensor technology enables
continuous temperature adaptation according to the specific
needs of your hair type. The styling temperature is not shown
on the display, but continuously optimized based on your hair
profile. This feature prevents hair damage caused by high
styling temperatures.
Set your profile / first use
To set your profile, go through the hair length, thickness and
coloration screens and select according to your hair type.
Confirm each setting with the center button and save your
settings by selecting a profile name (e.g. Profile 1). Confirm
and select «Continue» if you want to use your profile right
away.
The flashing thermometer symbol shows that the appliance
is heating up. Once the thermometer symbol stops flashing,
the optimum styling temperature is reached and you can start
styling.
Next use
Once a profile has been saved (e.g. Profile 1), the screen will
show it right after switching on the next time. Just confirm and
the appliance starts heating up.
Edit profiles
You can add new profiles or delete existing profiles. Up to
3 profiles can be saved.
You can modify your profile (e.g. if your hair length or colour
have changed).
Reset All
If you want to reset all settings (language and all profiles)
choose «Reset All» on the «Delete Profile» screen.
B Manual Mode
Manual Mode allows you to select the styling temperature.
This temperature will remain the same throughout the styling
process since the sensor-based automatic temperature
adaptation is deactivated in manual mode.
Move the cursor to «Manual Mode» and confirm. The default
temperature setting of 160 °C is displayed. Using the q p
arrows, you may change the temperature setting in a range
from 120 to 200 °C. While the appliance heats up, the temper-
ature screen flashes. When the flashing stops, the selected
temperature is reached and you can start styling.

C Using the appliance
Preparation
• Make sure your hair has been dried completely and evenly
before using the appliance.
• Comb your hair with a wide toothed comb to remove
tangles.
• Section your hair off. Starting close to the roots, take a thin
strand (2-3 cm maximum or 2 fingers wide) and clamp it
firmly between the styling plates.
How to straighten your hair
• Gently run the appliance through the entire length of the
hair, slowly and steadily, from roots to the ends without
stopping for longer than 2 seconds. This will ensure best
straightening results without damaging your hair. The styling
plates ensure easy and smooth gliding.
11

• For improved control when gliding along a strand, you may
stabilise the appliance by holding it with the other hand on
the cool touch points (1).
• You can create flicks at the hair ends by slowly turning the
appliance either outwards or inwards before releasing a
strand.
How to form loose curls and waves
– Clamp a thin strand at the roots,
– rotate the appliance half a turn so that the strand glides
through the styling plates and then over the active forming
area,
– then slowly move the appliance horizontally towards hair
tips. When pulling the appliance beyond the hair tips, the
strand will turn into curl.
