1. Introduction
Installing the remote control
Congratulations on your purchase of the Philips SRP 1001 universal
remote control. The SRP 1001 is a handy zapper with all main keys
and ergonomic shape for comfortable control.
After installing the remote control it can operate the most-used
functions of almost any brand of TV.
You can find information about how to prepare this remote control
for use in the chapter ‘Installing the remote control’.
2. Installing the remote control
Inserting the batteries
1 Press the cover inwards
and lift it up.
2 Place two R03, UM4 or AAA type
batteries into the battery
compartment, as shown.
3 Replace the cover and click it firmly
into place.
Testing the remote control
Because the SRP 1001 may use different signals for each brand and
even for different models of the same brand, it is advisable to test
whether your TV responds to the SRP 1001.
The example below instructs you how to do this.
1 Turn your TV on manually or use the original remote control.
Tune to channel 1.
2 Check whether all the keys
are working. For an overview of the
keys and their functions see ‘3. Keys
and functions’.
– If the TV responds as it should to all
of the key commands the SRP 1001
is ready for use.

• If the device does not respond at all or not to all of the
key commands, follow the instructions under ‘Setting
the remote control’ or for online setup got to:
www.philips.com/urc.
Setting the remote control
This is only necessary if your TV does not respond to the
SRP 1001. If that is the case, the SRP 1001 does not recognize the
brand and/or model of your TV and you need to program the
remote control to do so. The example below instructs you how to
do this. You can set the remote control either manually or
automatically.
Manually setting the remote control
1 Turn on the TV manually or use the original remote control.
Tune in to channel 1.
2 Look up the brand of your TV in the
code list at the back of this manual.
One or more 3-figure key codes are
shown for each brand.
Note the first code.
3 Keep keys 1 and 3 on the SRP 1001
5 sec.

remains lit.
4 Then enter the code noted in step
2 using the code keys.
– The indicator light will now flash
twice. If the indicator light flashes
once for an extended period, the
code has not been entered properly
or the wrong code has been entered. Start again from step 2.
5 Point the SRP 1001 at the TV and check that it responds as it
should.
– If the TV responds to all of the key commands, the SRP 1001
is ready for use.
Do not forget to note your code.
• If the device does not respond at all, or not to all of the
key commands, start again from step 2 and try the next
code from the list.

Automatically setting the remote control
If you cannot find the right code for your brand device, the remote
control can automatically search for the right code.

1 Make sure the TV is switched on and select a channel using
the original remote control or the keys on the TV (for
example channel 1).
2 Keep keys 1 and 3 on the SRP 1001
5 sec.

3 Press the y key of the SRP 1001 .

Installing the remote control
– The SRP 1001 now starts emitting
all known ‘TV off’ signals, one by
one. Each time a code is sent, the
indicator light flashes.
4 When your TV switches off
(stand-by), immediately release the
y key of the SRP 1001 to confirm.
– The SRP 1001 has now found a
code that works on your TV.
5 Check if you can operate all
functions on your TV with the SRP 1001.
• If this is not the case, you can redo the automatic
setting. The SRP 1001 will then search for a code that
perhaps works better.
– After the SRP 1001 has run through all the known codes, the
search will stop automatically and the indicator light stops
flashing.
– Automatic programming of a TV takes a maximum of 6
minutes.

4. Troubleshooting
• Problem
– Solution
• The device you want to operate does not respond when you
press a key.
– Replace the old batteries with two new R03, UM4 or AAA type
batteries.
– Point the SRP 1001 at the device and make sure that there are
no obstructions between the SRP 1001 and the device.
• The SRP 1001 does not respond properly to commands.
– Maybe you are using the wrong code. Try programming the
SRP 1001 again using another code, which is mentioned under the
brand of your device, or reset for automatic search to find the right
code.
• Your brand of device is not in the code list.
– Try to set the SRP 1001 automatically. See ‘Automatically setting
the remote control’.
• None of the codes works during manual setting of the remote
control.
– If that is the case, follow the instructions under ‘Automatically
setting the remote control’.

1. Einleitung
Herzlichen Glückwunsch zu Ihrer Entscheidung für diese universelle
Fernbedienung SRP 1001 von Philips. Die SRP 1001 ist ein
praktischer ‘Zapper’ mit alle Haupttasten und ergonomischer Form
für bequeme Bedienung. Nach Inbetriebnahme kann die
Fernbedienung die meistbenutzten Funktionen fast jeder
Fernsehgerät-Marke steuern. Nähere Informationen zur
Inbetriebnahme dieser Fernbedienung finden Sie in dem Kapitel
‘Inbetriebnahme der Fernbedienung’.
2. Inbetriebnahme der Fernbedienung
Einlegen der batterien
1 Drücken Sie den Deckel nach innen
und heben Sie ihn hoch.
2 Legen Sie zwei Batterien vom Typ
R03, UM4 oder AAA wie angegeben
in das Batteriefach ein.
3 Schieben Sie den Deckel wieder auf
und lassen Sie ihn fest einrasten.
Prüfen der Fernbedienung
Da die Signale der SRP 1001 bei jeder Marke und sogar bei den
einzelnen Modellnummern unterschiedlich sein können, sollten Sie
prüfen, ob Ihr Fernsehgerät auf die SRP 1001 reagiert. In dem
nachstehenden Beispiel wird beschrieben, wie Sie hierfür am besten
vorgehen.
1 Schalten Sie das Fernsehgerät von Hand ein oder benutzen
Sie hierfür die Original-Fernbedienung. Stimmen Sie das Gerät
auf Kanal 1 ab.

2 Kontrollieren Sie die Funktion der
einzelnen Tasten. Eine Übersicht über
die Tasten und ihre Funktion finden
Sie in Kapitel 3 ‘Tasten und
Deutsch
Funktionen’.
– Reagiert das Fernsehgerät
ordnungsgemäß auf alle Tastenbefehle, so ist die
Fernbedienung SRP 1001 einsatzbereit.
• Reagiert das Gerät überhaupt nicht oder nicht auf alle
Tastenbefehle, befolgen Sie bitte die Anweisungen im
Abschnitt ‘Einstellen der Fernbedienung’,
oder Setup online unter: www.philips.com/urc.
Einstellen der Fernbedienung
Dies ist nur dann notwendig, wenn Ihr Fernsehgerät nicht auf die
SRP 1001 reagiert. Ist dies der Fall, so erkennt die SRP 1001 nicht
die Marke und/oder das Modell Ihres Fernsehgeräts, und Sie
Inbetriebnahme der Fernbedienung
müssen die Fernbedienung entsprechend programmieren. In dem
nachstehenden Beispiel wird beschrieben, wie Sie hierfür am besten
vorgehen. Sie können die Fernbedienung entweder automatisch
oder manuell einstellen.
Manuelles Einstellen der Fernbedienung
1 Schalten Sie das Fernsehgerät von Hand ein oder benutzen
Sie hierfür die Original-Fernbedienung. Stimmen Sie das Gerät
auf Kanal 1 ab.
2 Schlagen Sie die Marke Ihres
Fernsehgeräts in der Codeliste
hinten in dieserAnleitung nach. Ein
oder mehrere 3-stellige(r)
Tastencode(s) wird/werden für jede
Marke gezeigt. Notieren Sie sich den
ersten Code.
3 Halten Sie di Tasten 1 und 3 auf der
5 sec.
Fernbedienung SRP 1001 gleichzeitig
fünf Sekunden lang gedrückt, bis die
Anzeige weiterhin leuchtet.
4 Dann geben Sie den in Schritt 2
notierten Code anhand der
Codetasten ein.
– Die Anzeige blinkt jetzt zweimal.
Blinkt die Anzeige einmal lang, wurde
der Code nicht korrekt eingegeben
oder es wurde ein verkehrter Code eingegeben. Beginnen Sie
noch einmal ab Schritt 2.

5 Richten Sie die Fernbedienung SRP 1001 auf das Fernsehgerät
und kontrollieren Sie, ob das Fernsehgerät ordnungsgemäß
reagiert.
– Reagiert das Fernsehgerät ordnungsgemäß auf alle
Tastenbefehle, so ist die Fernbedienung SRP 1001
einsatzbereit. Vergessen Sie nicht, Ihren Code zu notieren.
• Reagiert das Gerät überhaupt nicht oder nicht auf alle
Tastenbefehle, beginnen Sie erneut ab Schritt 2 und
versuchen Sie es mit dem nächsten Code in der Liste.
Automatisches Einstellen der Fernbedienung
Wenn Sie den richtigen Code für Ihre Geräte-Marke nicht finden
können, kann die Fernbedienung automatisch nach dem richtigen
Code suchen.
1 Sorgen Sie dafür, dass das Fernsehgerät eingeschaltet ist, und
wählen Sie mit Hilfe der Original-Fernbedienung oder mit den
Tasten am Gerät einen Kanal (zum Beispiel Kanal 1).
2 Halten Sie die Tasten 1 und 3 auf
5 sec.
der Fernbedienung SRP 1001
gleichzeitig fünf Sekunden lang
gedrückt, bis die Anzeige weiterhin
leuchtet.
3 Drücken Sie die Bereitschaftstaste y

dann, wenn ein Code gesendet wird,
blinkt die Anzeige.
4 Beim Abschalten des Fernsehgeräts
(Bereitschaft) lassen Sie die
Bereitschaftstaste y der SRP 1001
sofort los.
– Die Fernbedienung SRP 1001 hat
jetzt einen Code gefunden, der für
Ihr Fernsehgerät funktioniert.
5 Kontrollieren Sie, ob Sie alle Funktionen Ihres Fernsehgeräts
mit der SRP 1001 steuern können.
• Ist dies nicht der Fall, können Sie die automatische
Einstellung erneut durchführen.
Die SRP 1001 wird dann weiter nach einem Code
suchen, der vielleicht besser funktioniert.

– Wenn die SRP 1001 alle bekannten Codes durchgegangen ist,
stoppt der Suchvorgang automatisch und blinkt die Anzeige
nicht mehr.
– Die automatische Einstellung eines Fernsehgeräts dauert max.

4. Fehlersuche
• Problem
– Abhilfe
• Das Gerät, das Sie steuern möchten, reagiert nicht, wenn Sie
eine Taste drücken.
– Ersetzen Sie die alten Batterien durch zwei neue Batterien vom
Typ R03, UM4 oder AAA.
– Richten Sie die Fernbedienung SRP 1001 auf das Gerät und
achten Sie darauf, dass sich keine Hindernisse zwischen der
Fernbedienung SRP 1001 und dem Gerät befinden.
• Die Fernbedienung SRP 1001 führt die Befehle nicht korrekt
aus.
– Eventuell verwenden Sie den falschen Code. Versuchen Sie, die
Fernbedienung SRP 1001 erneut mit einem anderen Code
einzustellen, der unter der Marke Ihres Geräts steht, oder stellen
Sie sie erneut auf automatische Suche ein, um den korrekten Code
zu finden.
• Ihre Gerätemarke ist nicht in der Codeliste aufgeführt.
– Versuchen Sie, die SRP 1001 automatisch einzustellen. Siehe bei
‘Automatisches Einstellen der Fernbedienung’.
• Kein einziger Code funktioniert bei der manuellen Einstellung
der Fernbedienung.
– Befolgen Sie in diesem Fall die Anweisungen unter ‘Automatisches

1. Introduction
Félicitations pour votre achat d’une télécommande universelle
Philips SRP 1001. La SRP 1001 est une télécommande pratique
Installation de la télécommande
avec toutes les touches principales et une forme économique
facilitant l'exécution des commandes. Une fois installée, cette
télécommande peut exécuter les fonctions les plus courantes de
presque n’importe quelle marque de téléviseur. Vous trouverez les
informations sur la préparation de la télécommande dans le
chapitre ‘Installation de la télécommande’.
2. Installation de la télécommande
Insertion des piles
1 Appuyez sur le couvercle et
soulevez-le.
2 Placez deux piles R03, UM3 ou AAA
dans le compartiment des piles, de
la façon indiquée.
3 Remettez le couvercle en place et
emboîtez-le.
Essai de la télécommande
La SRP 1001 pouvant utiliser différents signaux pour chaque
marque et même pour différents modèles de la même marque, il
est conseillé de vérifier si votre téléviseur réagit à la SRP 1001.
L’exemple ci-dessous vous montre comment effectuer cet essai.
1 Mettez votre téléviseur sous tension manuellement ou utilisez
la télécommande d’origine.
Sélectionnez la chaîne 1.
2 Vérifiez que toutes les touches
fonctionnent. Pour voir une
présentation des touches et de leurs
fonctions, reportez-vous à 3. Touches
et fonctions.
– Si le téléviseur réagit normalement à
la pression des touches, la SRP 1001 est prête à l’emploi.

• Si l’appareil ne réagit pas du tout, ou ne réagit pas à la
pression des touches, suivez les instructions sous
Configuration de la télécommande, ou effectuez une
configuration en ligne sur: www.philips.com/urc.
Configuration de la télécommande
Elle est nécessaire seulement si votre téléviseur ne réagit pas à la
SRP 1001. Si c’est le cas, la SRP 1001 ne reconnaît pas la marque
et/ou le modèle de votre téléviseur. Vous devrez alors la
programmer. L’exemple ci-dessous vous montre comment effectuer
cet essai. Vous pouvez régler la télécommande manuellement ou
automatiquement.
Réglage manuel de la télécommande
1 Mettez votre téléviseur sous tension manuellement ou utilisez
la télécommande d’origine.
Sélectionnez la chaîne 1.
2 Recherchez le code à 3 flèches de
votre téléviseur dans la liste des
codes, au dos de ce manuel. Un ou
plusieurs codes à 3 flèches sont
indiqués pour chaque marque.
Notez le premier code.
3 Tenez enfoncées simultanément les
5 sec.
touches 1 et 3 de la télécommande
SRP 1001 pendant 5 secondes
jusqu’à ce que le voyant reste
allumé.
4 Ensuite, saisissez le code noté à
l’étape 2 en utilisant les touches de
code.
– Le voyant clignotera alors deux fois.
Si le voyant clignote une fois sur une
longue période, c’est que le code n’a
pas été saisi correctement ou qu’un code incorrect a été saisi.
Recommencez à l’étape 2.
5 Orientez la SRP 1001 vers le téléviseur et vérifiez s’il réagit
normalement.
– Si le téléviseur réagit à la pression de toutes les touches, la
SRP 1001 est prête à l’emploi. N’oubliez pas de noter votre
code.
• Si l’appareil ne réagit pas du tout, ou ne réagit pas à la
pression de toutes les touches, recommencez à l’étape 2
et essayez le code suivant sur la liste.

Si vous ne trouvez pas le bon code pour la marque de votre
appareil, la télécommande peut le chercher automatiquement.

• Si ce n’est pas le cas, vous pouvez recommencer le
réglage automatique.
La SRP 1001 recherchera alors un code peut-être
meilleur.
– Une fois que la SRP 1001 a parcouru tous les codes connus, la
recherche s’arrête automatiquement et le voyant cesse de
clignoter.
– La programmation automatique d’un téléviseur dure 6
minutes maximum.

– Solution
• L’appareil que vous voulez commander ne réagit pas quand
vous appuyez sur une touche.
– Remplacez les piles par deux piles neuves R03, UM4 ou AAA.
– Orientez la SRP 1001 vers l’appareil et vérifiez qu’il n’y a pas
d’obstacles entre la SRP 1001 et l’appareil.
• La SRP 1001 ne réagit pas correctement aux commandes.
– Vous utilisez peut-être un code incorrect. Essayez de reprogrammer
la SRP 1001 en utilisant un autre code, cité sous la marque de
votre appareil, ou effectuez une recherche automatique du code
correct.
• La marque de votre appareil ne se trouve pas dans la liste des
codes.
– Essayez de configurer la SRP 1001 automatiquement. Reportez-
vous à ‘Réglage automatique de la télécommande’.
• Aucun des codes ne fonctionne lors de la configuration
manuelle de la télécommande.
– Si c’est le cas, suivez les instructions de ‘Réglage automatique de la
télécommande’.

1. Introduzione
Complimenti per l’acquisto del telecomando universale Philips
SRP 1001. Il maneggevole telecomando SRP 1001 dispone di tutti i
tasti principali e presenta una forma ergonomica per un controllo
comodo. Una volta installato, il telecomando consente di accedere
alle funzioni più utilizzate di tutte le marche di televisori.
Per informazioni su come preparare il telecomando per l’uso,
consultare il capitolo ‘Installazione del telecomando’.
2. Installazione del telecomando
Inserimento delle batterie
1 Premere il coperchio verso l’interno
e sollevarlo.
2 Inserire due batterie di tipo R03,
UM4 o AAA nel comparto, come
indicato.
3 Riposizionare il coperchio e farlo
scattare in posizione.
Prova del telecomando
Poiché il telecomando SRP 1001 potrebbe usare segnali differenti
per ciascuna marca e perfino modelli differenti per la stessa marca,
si consiglia di provare se il televisore risponde al telecomando
SRP 1001. L’esempio di seguito mostra come effettuare ciò.
1 Accendere il televisore manualmente o usare il telecomando
originale. Sintonizzarsi sul canale 1.
2 Controllare che tutti i tasti
funzionino. Per una vista generale dei
tasti e delle loro funzioni, vedere
‘3. Tasti e funzioni’.
– Se il televisore risponde come
dovrebbe a tutti i comandi dei tasti,
il telecomando SRP 1001 è pronto per l’uso.

• Se il dispositivo non risponde per niente o non risponde
a tutti i comandi dei tasti, seguire le istruzioni su
‘Impostazione del telecomando’ oppure per
l’impostazione online, andare su: www.philips.com/urc.

Impostazione del telecomando
È necessaria solo se il televisore non risponde al telecomando
SRP 1001. In tal caso, il telecomando SRP 1001 non riconosce la
marca e/o il modello del televisore, per cui è necessario
programmarlo. L’esempio di seguito mostra come effettuare ciò. È
possibile programmare il telecomando sia automaticamente che
manualmente.
Impostazione manuale del telecomando
1 Accendere il televisore manualmente o usare il telecomando
originale. Sintonizzarsi sul canale 1.
Installaziione del telecomando
2 Controllare la marca del televisore
nell’elenco dei codici situato alla fine
del manuale. Per ciascuna marca vi
sono uno o più codici a 3 cifre.
Annotare il primo codice.
3 Tenere premuti
5 sec.
contemporaneamente i tasti 1 e 3
del telecomando SRP 1001 per
cinque secondi finché la spia non
rimane accesa.
4 Digitare quindi il codice annotato
nel passo 2 con i tasti.
– La spia lampeggia due volte. Se la
spia lampeggia una volta per un
periodo prolungato, il codice non è
stato digitato correttamente o è
stato inserito un codice errato. Iniziare di nuovo dal passo 2.
5 Puntare il telecomando SRP 1001 verso il televisore e
controllare che risponda come dovrebbe.
– Se il televisore risponde a tutti i comandi dei tasti, il
telecomando SRP 1001 è pronto per l’uso.
Non dimenticare di annotare il codice.
• Se il dispositivo non risponde per niente o non risponde
a tutti i comandi, iniziae di nuovo dal passo 2 e cercare
il codice successivo nell’elenco.

Impostazione automatica del telecomando
Se non si riesce a trovare il codice adatto per la propria marca, il
telecomando è in grado di cercarlo automaticamente.
1 Assicurarsi che il televisore sia acceso e selezionare un canale
con il telecomando iniziale o i tasti del televisore (ad esempio,
il canale 1).
2 Tenere premuti
5 sec.
contemporaneamente i tasti 1 e 3
del telecomando SRP 1001 per
cinque secondi finché la spia non
rimane accesa.
3 Premere il tasto y del telecomando
SRP 1001 e tenerlo premuto.
– Il telecomando SRP 1001 inizia ad
emettere tutti i segnali ‘TV off’
conosciuti, uno per uno. Ogni volta
che si invia un codice, la spia
lampeggia.
4 Quando si spegne il televisore
(standby), rilasciare immediatamente
il tasto y del telecomando
SRP 1001 per confermare.
– Il telecomando SRP 1001 ha
riscontrato un codice adatto al
televisore.
5 Controllare se si può accedere a tutte le funzioni del
televisore con il telecomando SRP 1001.
• In caso contrario, effettuare di nuovo l’impostazione
automatica.
Il telecomando SRP 1001 ricercherà quindi un codice
che funziona meglio.
– Una volta che il telecomando SRP 1001 ha rilevato tutti i
codici conosciuti, la ricerca si arresta automaticamente e la
spia cessa di lampeggiare.
– Per la programmazione automatica di un televisore occorrono
massimo 6 minuti.
