SUCTION POWER REGULATION
The vacuum cleaner is equipped with an electronic suction power regulator which makes it possible to
set the suction power gradually. The suction power regulation can be carried out by using two buttons
(
, ): consecutive power stages are being communicated by respective LEDS burning. Pressing a
button according to its markings
or results into the suction power getting increased or
decreased.
Ba
Putting the vacuum cleaner into operation
by using the power switch does set the
operation of the suction unit onto the third
stage of suction power regulation:
3 LEDS on the 5-stage-led-bar are
burning.
We do recommend the following settings:
1-st stage – to vacuum curtains
2-nd stage – to vacuum upholstery
3-rd stage – means cost-effective power
4-th stage – to vacuum carpets
5-th stage to vacuum hard floors and
crevices
The vacuum cleaners are equipped also with a mechanic suction power
regulation on the hose handle. In order to decrease the suction power it is
enough to shift the valve as indicated in the drawing.
HOW THE BAG FULL INDICATOR WORKS
If the bag full indicator turns red with the nozzle or the brush raised over the
surface being vacuumed, that means that the bag has to be emptied.
The bag full indicator can trip when the suction hose and the elements connected to it have got
clogged. In such a case you have to take the hose end out of the front cover hole and clean the hose
and the elements connected to it.
HOW THE OUTLET FILTER EXCHANGE INDICATOR WORKS
The HEPA outlet air filter has to be exchanged after it has been used for about one year, when the
surface of the filter is dirty. If the outlet filter exchange indicator gets red (pulsating red color) this
means that it is necessary to exchange the filter.
At the same time the outlet filter exchange acoustic alarm, so called “buzzer”, is tripping, the suction
power of the vacuum cleaner is falling to stage 1 as well. Of course you can finish the vacuuming on
the required suction power by pressing on the button
which will increase the suction power.

PARK-SYSTEM FUNCTION
The vacuum cleaner is equipped with a park-
system function: this function makes it possible
to turn off the vacuum cleaner for a while by
using a hook on the suction-brush without having
to press the switch-off-button. To do this you
have to put the hook of the suction-brush into the
vacuum cleaner body hole with the vacuum
cleaner still working. This results into the vacuum
cleaner getting turned off automatically.
In the bottom portion of the vacuum cleaner there is also a seat designed
to fasten the hook of the suction-brush to, preferably recommended for
carrying or storing the vacuum cleaner. Using this seat does not mean
auto-off of the motor.
AUTO-REVERSE FUNCTION
There is also a special function on the vacuum cleaner: auto-reverse, which makes it possible to
automatically draw in the cord in the vacuum cleaner body without having to press on the cord winding
button. To put this function into operation you have to place the auto-reverse switch on AUTO and
shift it towards the rear of the vacuum cleaner.
HOW THE SAFETY VALVE WORKS
The vacuum cleaner is equipped with a safety-valve which opens automatically when it comes to
a complete clogging of the suction hose and the elements connected to it or to an excessive filling of
the bag with dust. When the valve has opened you can hear a characteristic sound inside the vacuum
cleaner, so called “fluttering”.
WHAT A SINGLE NOZZLE IS USED FOR
To vacuum soft floors – carpets and carpetings: we do recommend the suction-brush type 449 to
vacuum carpets.
Combine suction–brush with the tube and switch it to the carpet cleaning function with brush hidden:
(press the switch on the suction-brush as per drawing
).
To vacuum hard floors – floors of wood, plastic, tiles, etc.
The most suitable tool to do this is suction-brush type 449. Make the
brush inside the suction-brush protrude (by pressing the switch on the
suction-brush as per drawing
).
Nozzles for furniture, crevices and
upholstery are hidden in the accessories
box to be found inside the vacuum cleaner.
The nozzles are to be fixed either to the
suction tube or to the hose end.
67
To vacuum upholstery, mattresses and so on.
Open the accessories box cover and take out the small nozzle.
The small nozzle serves to vacuum upholstered furniture, mattresses,
curtains, sheer curtains and so on. Thanks to a picking-up strap you can also
pick up threads, fine fibers and so on. It is advisable to decrease the suction
power to perform this job.
To vacuum delicate materials and uneven surfaces:
Open the accessories box cover and take out the small brush.
The small brush serves to vacuum: book collections, picture frames and
windows. It is advisable to decrease the suction power to perform this job.
To vacuum crevices, corners, hollows and so on.
Open the accessories box cover and take out the crevice nozzle.
The crevice nozzle serves to vacuum: crevices, corners, slots and places
that are hard to reach.
You can insert each of a/m brushes or nozzles in hose
handle.
In such case it is all the time “close at hand“ ready for use.
SPECIAL ACCESSORIES
Turbo-brush type 212
Turbo-brush has a rotary brush driven by air flowing in the nozzle casing. The
use of a rotary brush on the turbo head increases the effectiveness of picking
up the fibre-like impurities from carpets and floor coverings. The roll of the
brush is driven, through a belt transmission, by a turbine incorpotated in the
articulated joint. The turbo head will work properly if you set its controller
according to the height of the pile of the carpet, and it will move on the carpet
easily. Detailed instructions for use are attached to the turbo-brush purchased.
Electro-brush type 211
If the vacuum cleaner is equipped with a socket for an electro-brush, you can
purchase additionally the electro-brush type 211.
The electro-brush has an electric motor–driven brush to efficiently clean very
dirty carpets and floor coverings. Detailed instructions for use are attached to
the electro-brush purchased.
Before you begin to clean the electro-brush, pull the cord from the mains socket.
The turbo-brush and electro-brush significantly improve the effectiveness of removing fibrous
impurities like hair, threads, animal-hair and so on. They are useful especially in our households where
animals live (cats, dogs) and where removing hair from carpets and carperings is a very difficult work.
Brush Natural Bristle (“BNB”-brush )
It serves to clean and polish hard surfaces and ones susceptible to scratches
e.g. floors of wood, panelings, tiles, marble, walls, panelings made elegant and
hard plastic and so on.
A very delicate and soft bristle of animal origin ensures a maximum
effectiveness of vacuuming and prevents a surface to be cleaned from getting
scratched.
HOW TO EXCHANGE THE BAG
The vacuum cleaners are equipped with SAFBAG – bags in a quantity as per the table. The firm
recommends these new generation bags SAFBAG ( Space Action Filtration Bag ). Their technical and
economic values are 3-4 times higher than the traditional bags, which of course can be still employed.
This bag is made of a special multi-layer porous material. In comparison with the traditional paper bag
it features decisively better technical and economic parameters.
68
It is necessary to exchange the bag when you have noticed that your vacuum cleaner cleans
noticeably worse, that the bag full indicator is burning or if the safety-valve has tripped.
If the safety-valve has opened and it seems to you that the bag is not full yet we recommend to
exchange the bag because a fine dust must have clogged the bag surface pores which in turn
decreased the vacuum cleaner suction-power significantly. By picking up wool waste the bag can be
full although the full bag indicator does not say anything. In this case you should also exchange the
bag for a new one.
Do not vacuum with no bag ( the cover will not shut if the bag is not in its place ).
− take the hose out of the vacuum cleaner inlet hole,
− release the catch of the front cover (1) and open it,
− take out the bag catch together with the bag by
pulling it upwards (2),
− shut the SAFBAG bag cover in order to cover the
hole of the soiled bag,
− while holding the bag plate, bend it upwards and
pull the bag out of the bag catch, guides (3),
− slide the plate of a new bag into the bag catch guides. Installation direction of
the bag is indicated by an arrow on the bag,
− insert the catch together with the bag into the vacuum cleaner chamber, so
that the protrusion of the bag plate comes into the hole on the chamber wall.
− close the cover by pressing it until you hear a characteristic crack.
S A F B A G ― SPACE ACTION FILTRATION BAG
This dust bag has been made of a special multi-layer porous material In comparison with a traditional
paper dust bag, it is characterized by much better technological and economical parameters:
− Due to its high plasticity, it fills the vacuum cleaner dust bag

fixed to the vacuum cleaner but while stored it can not be bent too much.
THE CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE OF THE VACUUM CLEANER
Before you start cleaning and maintaining the vacuum cleaner make sure the plug is pulled out of the
socket.
Wipe the body and bag chamber with a humid rag (it can be moistened with dish washing agents) dry
them or wipe them dry.
Do not use scrubbing agents and solvents.
Vacuum the suction-brush, small brush and possibly special accessories by means of the crevice
nozzle, from to time.
What to do in case of….
If you can hear a characteristic “fluttering” which would suggest the safety-valve has tripped
(of course if the vacuum cleaner is equipped with a safety-valve):
− check the bag and accessories, remove the clogging cause and exchange the bag.
The nozzle can be moved only by using some force:
− decrease the suction power, the cleaning performance will not get worse.
The bag is damaged:
− exchange the bag and the filters.
The electricity fuse has tripped:
− check if any other devices are connected to the same electric circuit,
− if the fuse does trip repeatedly, take the vacuum cleaner to a service shop.
The vacuum cleaner will not work, the body is damaged or the cord is damaged
− take your vacuum cleaner to a service point.
The vacuum cleaner vacuums poorly:
− exchange the bag and filter,
− check the suction tubes, hose and nozzle – remove the cause of clogging.
