WHAT TO USE THIS NOZZLE FOR?
To vacuum soft oors – carpets and carpetings: we do recommend the
suction-brush to vacuum carpets.
Combine the suction-brush with the tube and switch it over to the carpet
cleaning function: with the brush hidden: (press the switch on the suction-
brush as per the drawing ).
To vacuum hard oors - oors of wood, plastic, tiles, etc. The most
suitable tool to do this is the suction-brush:
Make the brush come out of the suction-brush (by pressing the switch on the suction-brush as per the
drawing ).
It is possible to attach a basket to the brush-nozzle to collect small elements. In order to attach the
basket, remove the basket cover, install the basket as shown in the picture and close the cover.
You can nd nozzles for furniture, gaps and upholstery in accessories compartment (9) located
inside the vacuum cleaner. You can t them in extension tube inlet or hose inlet.
Open the compartment lid and take out a nozzle or a brush.
Cleaning of upholstery, mattress, etc.:
Small nozzle is used for cleaning upholstered furniture,
mattress, curtains, etc. It is equipped with a tape for picking

up threads, which enables exact picking up the threads, ne
bres, etc. We recommend reducing suction power during
such activity.
Vacuuming delicate material and rough objects:
Small brush is used for vacuuming: libraries, picture frames and
windows. We recommend reducing suction power during such activity.
Vacuuming gaps, corners, cavities, etc.:
Gap nozzle is used for vacuuming: gaps, corners, spaces and other
recesses with difcult access.
SPECIAL ACCESSORIES
At vacuum cleaners sale desks you can buy additionally special accessories:
Zelmer Turbo brush
It is used for vacuuming carpets and tted carpets. Use the turbo brush
according to its operation manual.
Turbo brush and electro-brush usage signicantly increases the efciency
of removing thready dirties such as: fur, hair, threads, etc. They are
especially useful in ats, where animals are kept (cat, dog) and it is usually
difcult to remove all fur from carpets and tted carpets.
„Brush Natural Bristle”
It is used for cleaning and polishing hard surfaces, sensitive for scratching, i.e.
wooden oor, laminate, parquet, marble, tiles, walls, coverings made of noble
materials, etc.
Gentle and soft natural bristle provides maximum vacuuming efciency and
protects against scratching cleaned surface.
The particular vacuum cleaners 1100 type are equipped with a/m brushes (see item “Types of 1100
vacuum cleaner”).

DUSTBAG REPLACING
Zelmer vacuum cleaners are equipped with SAFBAG dust bags (amount according to the table above).
Dust bag replacing is necessary when you notice that:
1. When full dust bag indicator is covered with red colour.
2. Safety valve opens.
3. The suction is signicantly lower.
4. Dust bag is full.
When the safety valve opens, but you realize that the dust bag is not yet full, we recommend you to
replace the bag, because in unfavourable conditions the ne dust could block the pores on the dust bag
surface, which signicantly decreases the sucking power of the vacuum cleaner. When picking up wool
remains, the dust bag can be full, although the full dust bag indicator does not indicate it. In such case
it is also necessary to replace the bag with a new one.
ATTENTION! Do not vacuum without the dust bag.
Remove the hose from the air-inlet. –
Release the hook of front lid – (10), open it.

Holding the bag bar – (11) lean it slightly inside (A),

and then remove the whole bag upwards (B).

Close the SAFBAG dust bag lid, to cover the inlet of –
A
the full bag. Dispose it.
Insert the bar of new bag between the runners and –
move it altogether with a shutter up to the bottom of
the dust-cup, laid the dust bag out. The direction of
dust bag assembling is indicated with an arrow on
the bag.
Close the lid pressing it until you can hear a characteristic clicking sound – be careful not to jam the –
bag.

Their technical and economic parameters exceed 3 ― 4 times the parameters of traditional
paper bags, which can still be applied.
This dust bag has been made of a special porous material consisting of many
layers. In comparison with traditional paper bag it is characterized with much
better economic and technical parameters.
Due to big plasticity, it ts tightly the dust-cup of the vacuum cleaner, what –
allows accumulating much more dirtiness (depending on the size of the
dust-cup).
The period from the assembling up to the replacing the bag is approximately –
3 times longer, which makes the vacuum cleaner operation cheaper.
It has signicantly better ltration parameters, which means: –
more efcient keeping dust, –
easier air-ow, which enhances engine power and livelong, –
the same big suction power in spite of lling up the dust bag, –
much better health protection, as the outlet air is much better cleaned. –
Hygienic handling – disposable dust bag with a shutter. –
AIR-INLET FILTER REPLACING
Open the vacuum cleaner such way as in case –

Take the air-inlet lter out of the casing – (12),

insert a new one, such a way that the inner
lter edge was placed inside the limiting rib (A)

Open up the accessories compartment lid – (13).
Press the lter cover locker strong – (14) and lean it outside (A).
Remove the “ACF Microlter”. –
Insert a new “ACF Microlter”. Make sure –
the gasket ts tightly.
Insert the lter lid so that three buckles –

The vacuum cleaner is optionally equipped with HEPA lter.
The cassette with HEPA lter provides efcient usage for about 1 year.

Follow the instructions for replacing the “ACF Microlter”. –
Insert a new “HEPA” lter in the place of the old one.

AFTER OPERATION
Unplug from outlet. –
Rewind the cord pressing – . button. Hold the plug when rewinding, do not allow the cord to get
entangled and the plug to bump the casing.
Remove the nozzle from the tube. –
Vertical storageHorizontal

ATTENTION! You can store the vacuum cleaner in

both horizontal and vertical positions. The hose

can remain tted, but please be careful not to bend
it to much.
Insert the hook on nozzle-brush into the runners for –
horizontal (16a) or vertical (16b) storage.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Remember to check if the vacuum cleaner is unplugged before cleaning and maintenance. –
Clean the casing and bag chamber with damp cloth (it can be wet with wash – up liquid) dry or wipe –
up to get it dry.
Do not use abrasive agents or dissolvent. –
Vacuum the nozzle-brush, small brush or special accessories with a gap nozzle from time to time. –
WHAT TO DO WHEN…?
You can hear characteristic „uttering” sound, indicating that safety valve is in operation (the
vacuum cleaner is equipped with safety valve):
check the bag and accessories, unblock or exchange the dust bag and lters. –
It is difcult to move the nozzle:
reduce the suction power; cleaning efciency will not be lower. –
The dust bag has been damaged:
exchange the dust bag and lters. –
An electric fuse functioned:
check if there are any other electric appliances connected to the same electric circuit, –
if the fuse functions repeatedly, bring your vacuum cleaner to service desk. –
The vacuum cleaner is not in operation, the casing or power cord is damaged:
bring your vacuum cleaner to service desk. –
The vacuum cleaner suction is low:
replace the dust bag and lters, –
check the suction tubes, hose and nozzle – unblock. –
ECOLOGY – ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
Each user can protect the natural environment. It is neither difcult nor expensive.
In order to do it: put the cardboard packing into recycling paper container; put the
polyethylene (PE) bags into container for plastic.
When worn out, dispose the appliance to particular disposal centre, because of
the dangerous elements of this appliance, which can be hazardous for natural
environment.
Do not dispose into the domestic waste disposal!!!
