BEFORE USE

Before using for the first time, wipe the case of

the appliance (1) with a damp cloth and wash the

removable plates (8,9) with lukewarm soap wa-

ter. Allow the appliance to dry.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Change of the Appliance Plates

1. To remove the plates from the appliance, move

the plate fixing button (6) to the side up to the

stop, hold the plate on the side and raise it as

shown in Figure B, then, take it off. Remove

the top plate in a similar manner.

2. Look carefully at the Sandwich Toaster plates. The wide projec-

tions on the plate are called (10) stops, and the narrow ones

clamps (11), see Figure C.

Attention: the removable plates of the Toaster can be

installed in one way only. A plate where the distance

between the stops (10) is bigger is placed on the

bottom part of the appliance; and the plate where the

distance between the stops (10) is less is placed on

the top part of the appliance.

To secure the plates in the Sandwich Toaster, fit the stops of the

plates (10) into the corresponding slots as illustrated in Figure B and

lower the plate down until it clicks. Make sure that the plate is prop-

erly fixed in the Toaster. Secure the second plate on the top part of the

appliance in a similar manner.

Use of the Removable Plates for Making

Sandwiches

1. Place the Toaster on a dry, smooth and flat horizontal surface.

2. Install the removable sandwich plates (8) as described in these

Instructions.

3. Connect the unit to a mains supply with the voltage corresponding

to the voltage indicated on the unit. When the unit is plugged in,

the indicator light (4) will come on. Allow the appliance to pre-

heat for 5 to 8 minutes. Once the indicator light (5) is on, you can

start making sandwiches.

4. When the appliance is heated, open it, spread margarine or any

other cooking fat on the Toaster plates (8) and place a slice of

bread on the bottom plate of the appliance. Use 1 cm thick square

bread.

5. Fill the sandwich (for example, cheese) and top with the second

slice of bread. It is advisable to spread butter over the second slice

of bread (buttered side up) in order to avoid its burning.
