very short. Pushing the lever downward gradually increases

the cutting length. In its lowest position, the lever will leave the

hair as if you were using the No. 1 attachment comb (see

Figure C).

The lever will also extend the use of your blades since a differ-

ent cutting edge is used in each setting.

In addition, if the blades have jammed with hair, this function

will help you remove hair that has become wedged, without

removing the blades. While the clipper is running, rapidly move

the lever from upper to lower position a couple of times. Doing

this each time after you have finished using your clipper will

help to keep the blades clear of cut hair. If your clipper stops

cutting and this does not help, your cutting blades are dulled.

Replace them with new blades.

Note: your clipper was checked to ensure that the blades

were oiled and aligned before leaving our factory.

Blades must be realigned if they have been removed

for cleaning or replacement. To realign them unplug

the clipper cord from the wall socket, loosen screws

(7) slightly, then match the upper and bottom blades

teeth up, point for point. The end of the top blade

teeth should be approximately 1.2 mm back from

bottom blade, tighten screws after blade is aligned.

Apply a few drops of oil to the blades and turn clipper

on for a few moments.

CLEANING AND CARE

Cleaning and storing

1. When finished clipping, turn the clipper off

and unplug from the electrical outlet.

2. Remove the attachment comb (if you were

using it) and clean it with the brush (15).

3. Wipe the housing with a clean, dry cloth.

4. It is recommended to clean the blades (2) with the brush (15)

after every use. To do that set the adjustable taper control

lever (4) to the lowest position to fully expose the blades.

5. Before putting the clipper away for storage, put on the blade

guard (3).

Oiling

1. To maintain your clipper in peak condition, the blades should

be oiled before every haircut with the lubricant oil (13) in-

cluded in this package.

2. Before oiling unplug the clipper from electrical outlet and re-

move any hairs from the clipper’s teeth with the brush (15).

3. Apply a few drops of oil to the blades, turn clipper on for a few

moments, to let the oil spread along the blades.

4. Turn the clipper off and unplug. Wipe off excess oil with a
