BEFORE USE: Binatone HC-403

BEFORE USE

Check if the blades are well oiled but there is

no excess oil on their surfaces.

Use an appliance only on clean and dry hair.

Seat the person you are going to give a hair

cut to, in a position that you can have a good

look on the crown of his (her) head. Cover his

(her) neck and shoulders with a towel.

Before starting to cut make sure that the hair is well combed.

Remember the direction in which the hair grows and the shape

of the back of the head so you may take that into account

while cutting the hair.

To make the haircut uniform and even, move the clipper slowly

through without forcing it.

When making your first haircut it is better leave the hair longer,

until you become familiar with each of the attachment combs.

Always begin with the attachment comb with the biggest num-

ber: you can always make the hair shorter afterwards.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

1. Remove the blade guard (3) from the appli-

ance.

2. Connect the appropriate attachment comb.

Each attachment comb is clearly marked on their

outer surface:

Attachment comb No. 1 – hair length left: 3 mm

Attachment comb No. 2 – hair length left: 6 mm

Attachment comb No. 3 – hair length left: 9 mm

Attachment comb No. 4 – hair length left: 12 mm

To connect the attachment comb, hold with its teeth upward,

and slide it along the clipper’s cutting surface until its forepart

sits on the clipper’s blade (see Figure 1). Then press on the

comb until it clicks. To remove the attachment comb, repeat the

steps above in reverse order (Figure 2).

3. To make the haircut uniform and even, move the clipper slowly

and comb the hair frequently with the barber comb (12) to

remove the cut hairs and to check for uneven locks.

4. Hold the clipper so that the cutting edge points upwards; begin

cutting hair at the center part of the neck base (see Figure

3b).

5. When finished clipping, turn the clipper off by pressing the 0/

I switch (5) and unplug from the electrical outlet.

6. On how to make a haircut see section “Useful tips”.

Adjustable taper control (4)

The control (4) is located under your thumb if you are holding

the clipper in your right hand.

The lever adds versatility to your clipper by allowing you to

gradually change the closeness of your cut without changing

an attachment comb. When the lever is in the uppermost po-

sition, the blades will give you the closest cut and leave the hair
