Produktübersicht
Der TOC-X5 Shaker wird im Labor zur Austreibung des gesamten anorganischen Kohlenstoffs
eingesetzt (mit den TOC Küvetten Tests LCK 385 / 386 / 387). Die Vibrationseinheit kann bis zu 8
Küvetten gleichzeitig schütteln. Die Öffnungen sind mit 1-8 beschriftet. Das Zeitintervall eines
Schüttelvorgangs beträgt 5 Minuten. Siehe Bild 1.

Installationsanleitung
GEFAHR
Mehrere Gefahren. Nur qualifiziertes Personal sollte die in diesem Kapitel des Dokuments
beschriebenen Aufgaben durchführen.
Installieren des Geräts:
• An einer sauberen, trockenen, ebenen, gut belüfteten und temperaturgeregelten Stelle
• An einer Stelle, wo der Netzschalter und die Netzsteckdose gut sichtbar und leicht zugänglich
ist, da das Stecker-Netzgerät bei Gefahr auch als Trenneinrichtung dient
Das Gerät bewegt sich nicht, wenn die Saugnäpfe installiert sind. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die
Saugnäpfe sauber und unbeschädigt sind. Benutzen Sie die Anti-Rutsch-Matte, wenn die Saugnäpfe
auf rauhem Untergrund ihre Haftfähigkeit verlieren.
Betrieb
WARNUNG
Schwenken Sie vor Inbetriebnahme die Sicherheitsabdeckung mit Ventilator über die
Vibrationseinheit.
WARNUNG
Stecken Sie keine Finger oder andere Gegenstände durch das Schutzgitter des Ventilators.
Achtung: Lange Haare können durch den Luftstrom in den Ventilator gezogen werden.
ACHTUNG
Benutzen Sie nur das mitgelieferte Stecker-Netzgerät.
ACHTUNG
Greifen Sie nicht während des Schüttelvorganges an oder in die Vibrationseinheit.
Setzen Sie keine Küvetten während des Schüttvorganges ein.
Entnehmen sie keine Küvetten während des Schüttelvorganges.
Schalten Sie vor jeder Tätigkeit immer das Gerät aus und warten Sie, bis die
Vibrationseinheit und der Lüfter ruhig steht.
Beachten Sie die folgenden Vorsichtsmaßnahmen:
• Verwenden Sie keine beschädigten Glaswaren oder Geräte. Entsorgen Sie alle beschädigten
Geräte und ersetzen Sie es.
• Beachten Sie, dass die Küvetten maximal zu 3/4 gefüllt werden
Führen Sie die Schritte in der angegebenen Reihenfolge durch:
1. Verbinden Sie das Stecker-Netzteil mit einer Steckdose.
2. Setzen Sie die Küvetten vollständig (bis Bodenkontakt) in die Vibrations-Einheit ein.
3. Schwenken Sie die Sicherheitsabdeckung mit Ventilator über die Vibrations-Einheit.
4. Schalten Sie den Netzschalter auf „Ein“.
Der Schüttel-Prozess wird gestartet. Der Timer piept nach fünf Minuten und der Prozess endet.
5. Schwenken Sie die Sicherheitsabdeckung mit Ventilator nach hinten.
6. Entnehmen Sie die Küvetten.
7. Trennen Sie das Stecker-Netzteil von der Steckdose.

Das Gerät kann auch für kürzere Schüttelzeiten verwendet werden. Schalten Sie den Netzschalter
auf „Aus“ um den Schüttelprozess jederzeit zu unterbrechen.
Wartung
GEFAHR

Labor, und tragen Sie Schutzkleidung entsprechend den Chemikalien, mit denen Sie

3. Trocknen Sie das Gerät mit einem fusselfreien Tuch.

Product overview
The TOC-X5 shaker is used in laboratories to expel total inorganic carbon (with the TOC cuvette
tests LCK 385 / 386 / 387). The vibration unit can shake up to 8 vials simultaneously. The ports are
labeled 1-8. The cycle time of a shaking process is 5 minutes. Refer to Figure 1.

Installation guideline
DANGER
Multiple hazards. Only qualified personnel must conduct the tasks described in this section
of the document.
Install the instrument:
• In a clean, dry, level, well ventilated, temperature controlled location
• In a location where the power switch and power socket are visible and easily accessible
because the plug-in power supply is used as a seperator in the case of a hazard
The instrument does not move with the suction cups installed. Make sure that the suction cups are
clean and free from damage. Use the supplied non-slip mat, if the suction cups lose their adhesion
on rough surfaces.
Operation
WARNING
Pivot the safety cover with fan over the vibration unit before the instrument is in use.
WARNING
Do not insert fingers or any other objects through the protective grid of the fan.
Take care: Long hair can be sucked into the fan by the air current.
NOTICE
Use only the power supply that is specified for this instrument.
NOTICE
Do not grap on or in the vibration unit during the shaking procedure.
Do not install a vial during the shaking procedure.
Do not remove a vial during the shaking procedure.
Set the power switch to off and wait until the vibration unit and the fan to stop before any
activity.
Obey these safety precautions:
• Do not use damaged glassware or apparatus. Discard all damaged equipment and replace it.
• Make sure that the vials are filled up to maximal 3/4
Always do the steps that follow in the order shown:
1. Connect the plug-in power supply unit to a power socket.
2. Install the vials fully into the vibration unit (up to ground contact).
3. Pivot the safety cover with fan over the vibration unit.
4. Set the power switch to on.
The shaking procedure starts. The timer will beep after five minutes and the procedure stops.
5. Pivot the safety cover with fan to the back.
6. Remove the vials.
7. Disconnect the plug-in power supply unit from the power socket.
The instrument can be used for shorter shaking times. Set the power switch to off any time to
interrupt the shaking procedure.

Maintenance
DANGER
Chemical exposure hazard. Obey laboratory safety procedures and wear all of the personal
protective equipment appropriate to the chemicals that are handled. Refer to the current
safety data sheets (MSDS/SDS) for safety protocols.
CAUTION
Multiple hazards. Only the manufacturer or an authorized representative must conduct all
service activities. Do not disassemble the instrument for maintenance. If the internal
components must be cleaned or repaired, contact the manufacturer.
CAUTION
Personal injury hazard. Broken glass can cause cuts. Use tools and personal protective
equipment to remove broken glass.
Clean the instrument
Keep the instrument clean to get continuous and accurate operation.
NOTICE
Never use cleaning agents such as turpentine, acetone or similar products to clean the
instrument.

Do not leave visible moisture on the instrument. Moisture can penetrate and damage the
electronics inside.
1. Set the instrument off and disconnect the plug-in power supply unit.
2. Clean the surface of the instrument with a soft, moist cloth and a weak soap solution.
3. Dry the surface of the instrument with a lint-free cloth.
How to clean spills

El instrumento no se mueve con las ventosas instaladas. Asegúrese de que las ventosas estén

Funcionamiento

VAARA

Varoitustarrat

Tällä symbolilla merkittyä sähkölaitetta ei voi hävittää eurooppalaisissa julkisissa jätteenhävitys-
järjestelmissä 12 elokuuta 2005 jälkeen. Eurooppalaisten paikallisten ja kansallisten säädösten
mukaan (EU-direktiivi 2002/96/EY) eurooppalaisten sähkölaitteiden käyttäjien täytyy nyt palauttaa
vanhat tai loppuunkäytetyt laitteet Valmistajalle hävitystä varten ilman käyttäjälle aiheutuneita
kustannuksia.
Huomautus: Jos laite on palautettava kierrätystä varten, ota yhteyttä laitteen
valmistajaan tai toimittajaan, jolta saat ohjeet, kuinka palauttaa loppuunkäytetty laite,
valmistajan toimittamat sähkövarusteet, ja kaikki lisävarusteet oikeaa hävitystä varten.
Tuotteen yleiskuvaus
TOC-X5-ravistelijaa käytetään laboratorioissa epäorgaanisen hiilen poistamiseen (TOC-
kyvettitesteillä LCK 385 / 386 / 387). Täristysyksiköllä voidaan sekoittaa samanaikaisesti jopa 8
kyvettiä. Aukot on merkitty numeroilla 1–8. Ravistelujakso kestää 5 minuuttia. Katso Kuva 1.
