CORRECT USE OF THE SLEEVE
1. Find the brachial artery (Arteria Brachialis) of your left arm, which is
located 25 mm above the elbow. Test where your pulse is strongest.
2. Now, place the sleeve around your left upper arm. The hook and
loop adhesive fabric must face outwards and the tube should be
directed towards the hand. The whole arm should be uncovered.
There must not be any pressure on veins from clothing, jewellery,
etc., as this can alter the measurement. Also, do not place the
sleeve over clothing.
3. Place the sleeve so that it is positioned about 2 - 3 cm above the
crease of the elbow. The tube must be in line with the hand, as if the
tube were dividing the hand down the middle. Close the sleeve so
that it surrounds the upper arm firmly. Check that the hook and loop
adhesive fabric is securely fastened.
4. The person whose blood pressure is being taken should now be
sitting on a chair with the left elbow supported on a table.
The tube must not be bent or twisted!

CORRECT BODY POSTURE DURING MEASUREMENT
To obtain as accurate a reading as possible, always remember to hold the sleeve at the same
height as the heart. If the sleeve is higher or lower than the heart this causes deviations from
your actual blood pressure.
Measuring blood pressure while sitting:
• Place your elbow on the table or other surface.
• The sleeve should be at the same height as your heart. If necessary, place a cushion or a
book underneath your lower arm. Keep your arm and the rest of your body in a relaxed
position.
• Any exertion on the body, such as drinking, eating, talking, making or receiving telephone
calls, etc., leads to incorrect measurements and should therefore be avoided.

Press the button
MODE
once again to return to the time and date indicator.
The device is now ready to operate.
• Steps to measure the blood pressure:
a) Secure the sleeve around your left upper arm (see chapter
Correct Use of the Sleeve
).
b) Sit on a chair and assume an upright body position (see chapter
Correct Body Posture
During Measurement).
c)
Select with the button
SET
the desired number where you would like to save the
measurement. Press the button
START/STOP
to start the appliance. The pumping
process starts automatically. The pressure is raised automatically to 160 mmHg.
If there is a tendency of high blood pressure, the air pressure will automatically be raised
to the required level.
The inflation process can be stopped at any time by pressing
the START/STOP button
.
There should not be more than 2 measurements within a short
period of time as this could alter the measured data.
d) After inflation, the air will escape slowly during the measurement process. The heart
symbol for the pulse will appear on the display.

e) When the blood pressure measurement has been taken, the systolic, diastolic and pulse
values will be shown for 1 minute in the display and the data will automatically disappear
after this time. During the display time, the appliance can be switched off by pressing the
START/STOP
button.
f)
If no button is pressed for 1 minute and no function is used during this time, the energy
saving function will switch the appliance off automatically.
• To save, check and delete the measured data:
a.
Save data:
After each blood pressure measurement, the systolic, diastolic, and pulse data of the
respective measurement will be saved automatically.
The available database can store up to 99 measurements.
If the number of measurements exceeds 99, the oldest measurement will be deleted
automatically.
b.
Check data:
By pressing the
MEMORY
button, the database can be selected and, simultaneously, the
number of full memory spaces will be shown in the upper edge of the LCD display.
If no memory space is taken, NONE is indicated.
Press
MEMORY
button to check the
most recent measurement.
Systolic and diastolic blood pressure, pulse value, time, and date are shown.
Press
MEMORY
button again to check the other measurement values, sorted by save order.
To return to normal display, press
START/STOP
button.
c.
Delete data:
Delete all data:
Remove batteries from the battery compartment and reinsert them. All data will be deleted.
Press
MEMORY
button, to check if the data has been deleted. If done correctly, no data
will be shown in each database.

• Changing the batteries:
If appears in the display or the display is dark, the batteries are dead. Replace the
batteries. Until they are replaced, no further blood pressure measurements are possible.
Change all batteries with battery type R6/LR6/AA.
Only use top quality identical batteries. Do not use new and expired batteries simultaneously. If
the batteries have leaked, remove them from the battery compartment using a cloth and
dispose them according to regulations. Wipe battery compartment and other compartments
carefully with a cloth. Be sure not to come in direct contact with the battery acid..
Batteries do not belong in your household waste.
