- Allwaterconnectionsmustbeinstalledatalevelatwhichthepipelineand/orhydraulic

casingofthepumpand/ormotorcasingarenotooded.

- Check that the mains voltage agree with the particulars stamped on the rating plate.

- Fuseonthesideofmains:pleaserefertotheratingplate.

- Thepump/systemmustbeearthed(grounded)inaccordancewiththeappropriate

standards.

diagram(Fig.3),attachedonthebottomofmotorcover.Beforedoingthatunwindthe

uppercover(Fig.1-POS.2).

6. Start up

6.1 Loading and deaeration

Inthe pumpsof types GHN(basic auto),GHND (basic, auto),GHNMD (basic,auto),

GHNMD (basic, auto) the rotor is submerged and provided with special water-lubricated

bearings. Before putting the pump into operation, it has to be lled with water and

deaerated.Deaeratethepumpbyunscrewingascrewonthebacksideoftheelectric

motor(Fig.1-POS.5).Airwillowoutthroughthecleftbetweenthemotorshaftandthe

bearing.Whenwaterstartstoowout,closethevalvesatboththesuctionandpressure

sideofthepump.Startthepumpandcheckthedirectionofshaftrotation.Incaseofa

wrongdirectionabuilt-inashlampwillstarttoblinkwithredlight.

Thepumpisalsoprovidedwithotherdetectorsforidentifyingerrors,listedinthetablebelow.

Theredashlampconveystheerrornumber.Afterasequenceofashesalongerinterval

proceedsandthenumberofashesbetweentwointervalsindicatestheerrorcode.

Duringtheoperationandwithhightemperaturesofthepumpinguidthepump

will warm up. Do not touch the pump! Danger of burns!

6.2 Setting the speed for the pumps GHN, GHND, GHNM,

GHNMD ( basic)

Eachpumpisabletocovertheareasofthreehydrauliccharacteristics.Toachievethis,

ithasaninbuiltelectricmotorwiththreedifferentrevolutionspeeds.Forachievingthe

selected characteristics or speeds , the pump has a push button (Fig.1-POS.

4), with which we change speeds.
