IMPORTANT GUIDELINES

The appliance is designed to work with tap water; however, if the

water in your area is very hard, mix the tap water (50%) with distilled

and/or demineralised water (50%). Salt concentration in water in

certain seaside areas is very high: in such cases it is important to use

“demineralised water for irons” available on the market. If in doubt,

only demineralised water for steam irons must be used.

Do not use diluting agents, scented liquids or descaling agents as

these substances can damage the product. Do not use water from

dryers, air-conditioners and rain water.

The boiler may contain some water as each product is tested before

being put on the market.

It is recommended to place a cloth between the iron and the fabric

when using the iron for the first time.

It is recommended to direct a jet of steam into the air before starting

to iron, for any residual condensation to be let out.

PREPARATION

Sort the laundry according to the international symbols shown on the label; if this is missing,

sort according to the type of material.

Start to iron the garments that require a lower temperature so as to reduce idle time (the iron

requires less time to warm up than to cool down) and eliminate the risk of burning the fabric.

 synthetic, acrylic, nylon, polyester: low temperatures;

 wool, silk: medium temperatures;

 cotton, linen: high temperatures;

 do not iron.

USE

FIRST USE

Bring the handle to a vertical position until it clicks [Fig. A]. When used for the first time, you

may notice some smoke or noise due to the expansion of the plastic material. This is normal

and will stop after a short while.

Warning: pass the iron on a cloth to eliminate any impurity in the steam

device.

FILLING THE RESERVOIR

•

Make sure that the plug is disconnected from the socket.

•

Open the reservoir cover located on the handle (2).

•

Fill the reservoir [Fig. B] with tap water and close the cover (2).

SELECTING THE TEMPERATURE

•

Place the iron in a vertical position and insert the plug into the socket.

•

Set the temperature selector (6) [Fig. C] according to the international symbols on the

garment labels. Wait a few minutes before you start ironing.

Warning: if you set the selector to a lower temperature after having

ironed at high temperature, wait a few minutes to give the plate the time

to reduce the temperature.

DRY IRONING

Dry iron by not pressing the steam button (1).

Attention! For delicate fabrics, we recommend dampening them or

placing a damp cloth between.

•

Let the iron cool down completely in an upright position.

MAINTENANCE

CLEANING

ATTENTION!

Make sure the plug of the appliance is disconnected from the socket

and the plate has cooled down completely before cleaning the iron.

Any starch deposits or residue on the surface of the plate can be removed with a damp cloth

and non-abrasive liquid detergent.

Avoid scratching the plate with steel wool or metal objects.

The plastic parts can be cleaned with a damp cloth and then wiped with a dry cloth.
