Setup

WARNING: Please run the Setup Wizard before attempting to use the web-based

Dashboard administration tool.

While the instructions below may be used to run the Setup Wizard for any configuration,

LaCie highly recommends that you understand how the Wireless Space will integrate into

your network.

Preparing for the setup:

• Do not connect the Wireless Space to your router, server, or Internet provider modem

before running the Setup Wizard.

• Quit the applications running on your computer, especially those having to do with

Internet connectivity (web browsers, email, etc.)

• Locate your router, server, or Internet provider modem.

• If your computer is connected to the router, server, or Internet provider via Ethernet,

please disconnect the end from the router, server, or Internet provider.

Setup Steps:

1. Connect the power cable to the Wireless Space.

2. Turn the device on using the rear power button.

3. Run the Utilities CD from the computer’s optical disk drive. Choose Applications.

4. When prompted, choose Wireless Space Setup and follow all the steps. The Wireless

Space Setup Wizard will instruct you when and how to connect your computer to the

device via Ethernet.

5. Install LaCie Network Assistant once the Wireless Space Setup has been successfully

completed.

also find helpful information on installation and the Dashboard administration tool.
