DEEPCOLOR

The Standard Deep Colour is an extension of the depth of the previously used 8 bits per colour

channel. The specification for HDMI 1.3 supports this standard, which requires, above all, a much

higher bandwidth. While true colour can represent at a depth of 24 bits 16,777,216 colours, it brings

Deep Colour with 30 bit colour depth, 36-bit and 48 bit to much higher colour resolutions. Achieved

at 36-bit Deep Colour, a colour resolution from 68.7 x 10exp9 (Giga) colours and 48-bit colour can

theoretically be shown as high as 281.4 x 10exp12 (Tera) shades. With this high colour resolution,

for example, HDTV colours of unsurpassed quality and naturalness of pose with high contrast. Due

to the infinite number of shades represent interpolations between individual pixels. Even in the

shade of gray tones and Deep Colour offer a much nuances representation over the 16 bits of the

24-bit High Colour or True Colour.

The options are: Off, 30bit and 36bit.
