HAND BLENDER

HOW TO USE THE MILL

The mill grinds shelled nuts, herbs, chocolate, cheese, spices,

bread into breadcrumbs, coffee, onions and garlic. Tip:

Process foodstuffs that are predominantly dry; chocolate

and cheese should be hard when ground.

The mill may only be used when the lid is shut. Always keep

the milling blade in the mill, in order to avoid injuries.

DO NOT OPERATE THE BLENDER TOGETHER WITH THE MILL

FOR MORE THAN ONE MINUTE AT A TIME. OPERATE ONLY

WITH LOW SPEED.

PROCEDURE

Rotate the lid (1) to remove it from the mill.

Attach the blade (2) to the container spindle (4) with the

blade edge facing downwards.

Add the food that you intend to grind to the container.

Do not fill the container more than halfway.

In order to close the mill turn the lid until it clicks into place.

Ensure that the plug on the BODUM

hand blender is

not plugged into a power socket. Remove the detach-

®

able blade from your BODUM

hand blender. For further

information on changing the detachable blade refer to

the operating instructions 11179 for the BISTRO electric

®

hand blender from BODUM

.

Once you have removed the detachable blade from the

hand blender you can plug the hand blender plug into a

power socket.

Now insert the hand blender into the recess in the lid (1).

Ensure that the hand blender stands straight over the mill

and that the mixing head fits precisely into the lid recess.

Now switch on the BODUM

hand blender. When doing

so hold the BODUM

hand blender vertically and press it

down lightly on the mill.

®

Switch off the BODUM

hand blender as soon as the

desired fineness has been attained.

CAUTION! Never remove the BISTRO hand blender before

it is switched off.

Remove the BISTRO hand blender from the mill and

unplug the BISTRO hand blender from the power socket.

Open the lid and remove the blade before emptying the

mill. You can remove the milled product with the aid of a

spatula.

CAUTION! Never open the lid when the blade is still turn-

ing. The rotating shape blade can cause serious injuries.

Do not grind hard substances such as nutmegs, fruit

stones or nut shells.

USING THE STAND

®

Use the stand in order to keep your BODUM

hand blend-

er within easy reach in your kitchen.

The stand can either be left free-standing on the worktop

or wall-mounted with the dowels and screws supplied.

Place the BODUM

hand blender on the intended stand

support (7).

Keep the detachable blade in the blade retainer (6) on

the stand base.

Do not place or mount the stand on or in close proximity

to a gas or electric hob.

CLEANING

Wash the stand, container, lid and milling blade with

hot water. You can use a mild cleaning agent. Never use

corrosive cleaning agents. Any other servicing should be

performed by an authorized service representative.
