This is a model of a male torso of natural size divided into 15 horizontal slices cut at different levels. The individual slices
can be moved out on a metal bar, and can be rotated along the sagittal axis to view the underside. On both the upper and
lower sides of each slice the anatomical structures, such as bones, muscles, organs, blood vessels and nerves are shown as
horizontal sections. The most important structures are listed on the following pages using current international nomencla-
ture.
This transverse section MRI torso is especially suited to the interpretation and therefore more effective understanding of
tomography images; particularly as they were developed using computer or MRI imaging (CT, MRT).

Bei diesem Modell handelt es sich um einen männlichen Torso in natürlicher Größe, der durch Horizontalschnitte auf
unterschiedlichen Ebenen in 15 Scheiben zerlegt ist. Die einzelnen Scheiben lassen sich um einen Metallstab zur Seite
schwenken und zur Ansicht der Unterseiten um ihre Sagittalachse drehen. Auf den Ober- bzw. Unterseiten der Scheiben
sind die jeweiligen anatomischen Strukturen, wie Knochen, Muskeln, Organe, Blutgefäße und Nerven, im Horizontalschnitt
dargestellt. Die wichtigsten Strukturen sind auf den folgenden Seiten nach der aktuell international geltenden anatomischen
Nomenklatur benannt.
Dieser Scheibentorso eignet sich in besonderem Maße zur Interpretation und zum besseren Verständnis von
Schichtbildaufnahmen, wie sie z. B. im Rahmen einer Computer - oder Kernspintomografie (CT, MRT) angefertigt werden.
