EN BABYBJÖRN CRADLE
Congratulations on choosing BABYBJÖRN Cradle! Developed in close
collaborations with pediatricians, the cradle is a secure and calm place for
your baby to sleep. It can be used from when your baby is newborn until
he or she is around six months old or weighs a maximum of 8 kg/18 lb.
IMPORTANT. Please retain for future reference. Read and follow these
instructions and the instructional images on pages 3-5 carefully, to ensure safety.
WARNING!
Remember the following when using the cradle.
• Never carry the child in the cradle.
• The cradle must be placed on a horizontal floor.
• Never leave small children, for example siblings, unsupervised near the cradle.
• Do not use the cradle if any part is broken, torn or missing.
• Fall hazard! The cradle must not be used when the child is able to sit, kneel or to pull
himself or herself up, or weighs more than 8 kg/18 lb (approximately at 6 months).
• Both screws (see instructional images on page 3-5) must be securely tightened.
Children can trap clothing on loose screws, which may cause risk of choking
or strangulation.
• Infants can suocate on soft bedding and in gaps between an extra pad and
the side of the cradle.
• Use only mattress/sheet designated for this product. Never add additional
mattress, pillow, comforter, padding, or toy. Ensure that proper ventilation
is maintained. Ribbons or lace associated with bedding may entangle the infant.
• To reduce the risks of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome), pediatricians
recommend healthy infants be placed on their backs to sleep, unless
otherwise advised by your physician.
• Never place the cradle near power points, an open fire or other sources of
heat that may cause high temperatures or fire.
• Do not place the cradle near curtains, straps, strings or other objects and do
not place items with a string around the child’s neck as this may cause choking
or strangulation.
• Remove any tools and packaging from the cradle vicinity after its assembly.
• Medication and small items such as money must be kept out of reach from any
position in the cradle.
