OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 

Mod. 642.01 -  Professional hair clippers 

Please read these operating instructions carefully and keep them in a safe

place, as they include valuable advice on safety and how to use the equip-

ment properly.

WARNINGS 

•

For additional protection, the installation of a

residual current device (RCD) having a rated

residual operating current not exceeding 30mA is

advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the

bathroom. Ask your installer for advice.

• Make sure the unit is perfectly dry before using it. 

• WARNING: Do not use this appliance near

bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels

containing water.

• This appliance can be used by children from 8

years of age and over, and by persons with limited

physical, sensory or mental abilities or who lack

the relevant experience and knowledge, if they are

suitably supervised or have been educated to use

the appliance safely and made aware of the

associated risks.

• Do not allow children to play with the appliance.

• Children must not perform cleaning and

maintenance procedures unless supervised.

• Only connect this unit to alternating current and check that the mains supply

voltage corresponds to that indicated on the unit. 

• Always switch off the appliance after use and disconnect the plug from the

mains power socket. Do not remove the plug from the mains power socket by

pulling the cable.

• Do not pull the plug out of the power supply socket when your hands are wet. 

• Before switching on the appliance, always check its conditions and also

control the transformer and power cable. 

• Do not use your unit if it is not working properly. Do not try to repair this

electrical unit yourself, rather contact an authorized technician. If the supply

cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent

or similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

• When the appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since the

proximity of water presents a hazard even when the appliance is switched off.

• The elements used to pack the unit (plastic bags, cardboard box, etc.) must

be kept out of reach of children as they are a potential danger to them.

• This unit must only be used for the purposes for which it is expressly intended.

Any other use is to be considered improper and therefore dangerous. The

manufacturer accepts no responsibility for damage caused by improper or

erroneous use. 

• Do not expose the appliance to temperatures below 0°C or above 40°C. Avoid

exposing the appliance to direct and prolonged sunlight.

• Do not leave the appliance on charge in wet places and do not recharge the

appliance when it is wet.

• The appliance comes equipped with a NiMH battery. To help protect the

environment, the batteries should not be included with ordinary domestic waste,

but should be taken to a special collection point instead.

• Have the battery removed by qualified technical personnel or by the treatment

and recycling centre.

• Do not expose the battery to liquid, moisture or high humidity

• Keep the battery away from magnetic fields, sources of heat and naked flames.

• Danger of scratches or cuts. Do not use a comb or a set of blades if they are

damaged. Replace them immediately, as they may cause injury.

• Take care not to scratch the skin when handling the appliance with the set of

blades without combs.

The appliance can operate either using mains power or in cordless mode, as

it has a rechargeable battery.

SWITCHING ON AND SWITCHING OFF

To switch on the appliance turn the switch (fig. 1 – ref. 3) on position 1. To switch

it off move the switch back to position 0.

MAINS POWER SUPPLY

Connect the mains adapter (fig.1 - reference 9) by inserting the plug into the

appliance socket (fig.1 - ref.5). Plug the mains adapter into the mains.

Warning: if the appliance does not work with mains power when the battery char-

ge has run down completely, switch it off, recharge the battery for about five

minutes and then switch back on again, running on mains power.

RECHARGING THE BATTERY

• Before using the appliance for the first time, charge the battery for 24 hours.

For subsequent charges, allow the appliance to charge for at least 8 hours.

• Switch the appliance off using the switch (fig.1 - ref.3). The battery can only be

charged with the appliance switched off.

• Connect the mains adapter (fig.1 - ref.9) by inserting the plug into the appliance

socket (fig.1 - ref.5). Or connect the mains adapter to the base (fig.1 - ref.6) by inser-

ting the plug into the base plug (fig.1 - ref.7), then sit the appliance on the base.

• Plug the mains adapter into the mains.

• During charging the led (fig.1 - ref.4) lights up to indicate charging in progress.

• Only recharge the battery when you note a clear reduction in appliance power. 

• When the battery is fully charged, the appliance can be used for 60 minutes

without connection to the mains.

CUTTING WITH GUIDE COMBS

Depending on the type of cut desired, the appliance can be used with or without

a guide comb. There are two sets of combs: one for use with the ceramic blades

and the other for use with the blades for finishing, trimming and cutting beards.

Each set of combs can be used to achieve the following lengths:

• Comb n° 4, size 12.8 mm (fig.1 - ref.14 and 19)

• Comb n° 3, size 10 mm (fig.1 - ref.15 and 20)

• Comb n° 2, size 6.8 mm (fig.1 - ref.16 and 21)

• Comb n° 1, size 4 mm (fig.1 - ref.17 and 22)

• Comb n° 0, size 2 mm (fig.1 - ref.18 and 23)

• Blending comb (fig.1 - ref.24)

• Without guide comb: 0.6 mm

USING THE VARIOUS BLADES

The appliance comes provided with a series of blades:

- ceramic blades for cutting hair (fig.1 - ref.2),

- blades for finishing, trimming and cutting beards (fig.1 - ref.25),

- blades for sculpting special effects and finishing (fig.1 - ref.26).

CERAMIC BLADES

The combination of ceramic blades guarantees a perfect hair cut for long time

without oiling. 

REMOVING THE GUIDE COMBS

• Turn the appliance off

• To remove the comb, unlock it as shown in (fig.2).

• To fit the comb, follow the indications given in (fig.3): first insert the front part

in the housing (A), then press down on the rear part to lock it in place (B).

CHANGING BLADES

• Switch the appliance off.

• To remove a blade, push to release from the seat as shown in (fig.8).

• To refit a blade, follow the instructions in (fig.9): first insert the rear section in

the seat (A), then push the front to secure in place (B).

STYLING TIPS

SHORT STYLES

• Choose the right guide comb for the desired length. We advise you begin with

a longer comb and then move on to a shorter one later if desired.

• Cut hair while dry, using short strokes and progressing slowly.

• Comb the hair as you proceed in order to remove cut hair and check the results.

• NECK: Starting from the midpoint of the bottom of the neck (fig.4) work

upwards using short strokes towards the middle of the head (fig.5), gradually

working outwards to the sides.

• SIDES: We advise you use a shorter guide comb for the sides, working in the

same way as with the neck. To finish sideburns and the area around the ears,

use the appliance without a guide comb, holding it turned downwards.

• TOP OF HEAD: Use a longer guide comb. Start from the forehead working

backwards towards the middle of the head.

LONGER STYLES

• Use the same method, starting from the neck and working upwards, followed

by the sides and then the top of the head.

• To adjust the cutting length, use the barber’s comb (fig.6), or else your fingers

to help (fig.7), using the appliance without a guide comb.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

The cleaning and maintenance procedure must be carried out after every use.

• All maintenance or blade change operations must be carried out with the

appliance switched OFF and removed from the mains adapter.

• Never immerse the appliance in water!

• After every use, remove the guide comb then use the small brush to eliminate

any hair from the cutting head and its seat.

• Clean the outside of the appliance with a soft cloth (slightly damp if necessa-

ry). Never use solvents or abrasive detergents!

• Remove the cutting head (fig.8) and evenly oil the non-ceramic blades and the

seat of the motor pin which is located on the inside.

• If after prolonged use, and despite regular cleaning and lubrication, the cutting abi-

lity of the appliance appears to be diminished, the cutting head must be replaced.

• Once the appliance has been cleaned, the guide comb can be fitted back in

place since it also helps to protect the blade.

• Do not oil the ceramic blade set.

DISPOSAL

• Dispose of the appliance in accordance with all regulations governing waste

disposal and the safeguarding of the environment.

This appliance conforms to European Directives 2004/108/EC,

2009/125/EC, 2006/95/EC and Regulation (EC) No. 278/2009.

GUARANTEE

VALERA guarantees the appliance you have bought at following conditions:

1. The guarantee conditions for this appliance are as defined by our dealer in the

country of sale. In Switzerland and in the countries subject to the European

directive 44/99/CE the guarantee period is 24 months for domestic use and 12

months for professional or similar use. The guarantee period starts from the

date of purchase as stated on the present guarantee card regularly filled out

and stamped by the dealer or on the sale’s invoice.

2. The guarantee is applicable only against submission of the present guarantee

card or the sale’s invoice.

3. The guarantee covers the elimination of all defects arisen during the guarantee

period resulting from proven faults in material or workmanship. The elimination

of the defects will be made either by repairing the appliance or exchanging it.

The guarantee does not cover any damage arising from incorrect connection to

the power supply, improper use, breakage, normal wear and non-compliance

with the Instructions for Use.

4. All other claims of any nature, including those for eventual damages outside of

the appliance, are excluded, unless our liability is legally mandatory.

5. The guarantee service is carried out free of charge; it does not affect the expiry

date of the guarantee.

6. The guarantee becomes void if repairs are undertaken by unauthorized persons.

For UK only: this guarantee in no way affects your rights under statutory law.

In case of defect, please return the appliance well packed and together with the

guarantee card regularly dated and stamped to one of our Valera Service Centres

or to the dealer who will send it to the official importer for the guarantee service.

The symbol          on the product or on its packaging indicates that this product may

not be treated as household waste. Instead it shall be handed over to the applicable

collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. By ensuring

this product is disposed of correctly, you will help prevent potential negative

consequences for the environment and human health, which could otherwise be

caused by inappropriate waste handling of this product. For more detailed

information about recycling of this product, please contact your local city office, your

household waste disposal service or the shop where you purchased the product.

Lesen Sie die folgende Bedienungsanleitung aufmerksam durch und verwa-

hren Sie sie sorgfältig, da sie wichtige Informationen für Ihre Sicherheit und

den korrekten Gebrauch des Gerätes enthält. 

HINWEIS

• Wichtig: als zusätzlicher Schutz wird die Installation einer Fehlerstromschutzeinrichtung (FI) mit einem Bemessungauslösestrom von nicht mehr als 30 mA im Badezimmerstromkreis empfohlen. • Gefahr von Schnitten oder Kratzern. Ein beschädigter Kamm oder Klingensatz

darf auf keinen Fall weiter verwendet, sondern muss sofort ausgewechselt

werden.

• Wird das Gerät mit dem Klingensatz ohne Aufsteckkämme benutzt, ist sorgfältig

darauf zu achten, dass die Haut nicht verletzt wird.

Das Gerät ist mit einem Akku ausgestattet und kann daher sowohl mit

Netzstrom als auch kabellos benutzt werden.

EIN- UND AUSSCHALTEN DES GERÄTES

Zum Einschalten des Gerätes den Schalter (Abb. 1 – Pos. 3) auf 1 stellen. Zum

Ausschalten den Schalter wieder auf 0 stellen.

NETZBETRIEB

Den Akku-Ladegerät (Abb. 1 – Pos. 9) anschließen, indem der Stecker in die

entsprechende Gerätebuchse gesteckt wird (Abb. 1 - Pos. 5).

Den Akku-Ladegerät an die Steckdose anschließen.

Hinweis: Falls das Gerät bei vollständig entladener Batterie nicht mit Netzversorgung

funktionieren sollte, das Gerät ausschalten, die Batterie ca. fünf Minuten aufladen

und das am Netz angeschlossene Gerät wieder einschalten.

AUFLADEN DER BATTERIE

• Vor dem Erstgebrauch des Gerätes muss die Batterie 24 Stunden lang

aufgeladen werden. Alle weiteren Male das Gerät mindestens 8 Stunden

aufladen.

• Das Gerät über den Schalter (Abb. 1 - Pos. 3) ausschalten. Das Aufladen der

Batterie ist nur bei ausgeschaltetem Gerät möglich.

• Den Akku-Ladegerät (Abb. 1 - Pos. 9) anschließen, indem der Stecker in die

entsprechende Gerätebuchse gesteckt wird (Abb. 1 - Pos. 5).

Oder den Akku-Ladegerät an die Ladestation anschließen (Abb. 1 - Pos. 6),

indem der Stecker in die Buchse der Ladestation gesteckt wird (Abb. 1 - Pos. 7)

und das Gerät auf die Ladestation stellen.

• Den Akku-Ladegerät an die Steckdose anschließen.

• Während des Ladevorganges schaltet sich die Ladekontrollleuchte ein (Abb. 1 -

Pos. 4).

• Die Batterie nur aufladen, wenn die Geräteleistung merklich abnimmt. 

• Mit vollständig aufgeladener Batterie kann das Gerät 60 Minuten ohne

Netzversorgung betrieben werden.

SCHNITT MIT DEN FÜHRUNGSKÄMMEN

Je nach gewünschtem Haarschnitt kann das Gerät mit oder ohne Führungskämme

benutzt werden. Es gibt zwei Kammarten: eine, die mit dem Keramikklingensatz

kombiniert und eine andere, die mit dem Klingensatz für Finish, Konturen und Bart

benutzt werden kann.

Die einzelnen Kämme ermöglichen die folgenden Schnittlängen:

• Kamm Nr. 4 für 12,8 mm (Abb. 1 - Pos. 14 und 19)

• Kamm Nr. 3 für 10 mm (Abb. 1 - Pos. 15 und 20)

• Kamm Nr. 2 für 6,8 mm (Abb. 1 - Pos. 16 und 21)

• Kamm Nr. 1 für 4 mm (Abb. 1 - Pos. 17 und 22)

• Kamm Nr. 0 für 2 mm (Abb. 1 - Pos. 18 und 23)

• Kamm für Fassonschnitt (Abb. 1 - Pos. 24)

• Ohne Kamm: 0,6 mm

GEBRAUCH DER VERSCHIEDENEN KLINGEN

Im Lieferumfang sind unterschiedliche Schneidsätze enthalten:

- Keramikklingensatz für den Haarschnitt (Abb. 1 – Pos. 2),

- Klingensatz für Finish, Konturen und Bart (Abb.1 - Pos. 25),

- Klingensatz für Spezialeffekte und Finish (Abb. 1 - Pos. 26).

KERAMIKKLINGEN 

Der Scherkopf mit Keramikklingen garantiert auf lange Zeit und ohne Ölung einen

perfekten Schnitt.

ABNEHMEN DER FÜHRUNGSKÄMME

• Das Gerät ausschalten.

• Zum Abnehmen des Kamms diesen wie in Abb. 2 gezeigt entsperren.

SCHNEIDTIPPS

SCHNEIDEN KURZER HAARE

• Den Führungskamm geeigneter Länge wählen. Es wird empfohlen, mit einem

längeren Kamm zu beginnen und später bei Bedarf einen kürzeren zu

verwenden.

• Das Haar trocken schneiden und behutsam in kleinen Schritten vorgehen.

• Die Haar nach und nach kämmen, um das geschnittene Haar zu entfernen und

das Schnittergebnis zu überprüfen.

• NACKEN: In der Mitte des Nackens ausgehend von unten beginnen (Abb. 4),

sich langsam bis zur Kopfmitte vorarbeiten (Abb. 5) und nach und nach zu den

Seiten gehen.

• SEITEN: Es wird ein kürzerer Führungskamm empfohlen; ebenso wie beim

Nacken verfahren. 

Für die Koteletten und den Ohrenbereich das Gerät ohne Führungskamm und

nach unten gerichtet verwenden.

• OBERSEITE: Einen längeren Führungskamm verwenden. An der Stirn beginnen

und rückwärts zur Kopfmitte gehen.

SCHNEIDEN LANGER HAARE

• Nach dem oben beschriebenen Verfahren vorgehen; zunächst vom Nacken aus

nach oben gehen, danach zu den Seiten und schließlich zur Kopfoberseite.

• Für die Regulierung der Schnittlänge den Frisierkamm (Abb. 6) verwenden oder

sich mit den Fingern (Abb. 7) helfen und das Gerät ohne Führungskämme

verwenden.

REINIGUNG UND WARTUNG 

Reinigung und Wartung sind nach jedem Gebrauch durchzuführen.

• Wartungs- und Austauscharbeiten jeder Art stets nur bei AUSGESCHALTETEM

und vom Akku-Ladegerät getrennten Gerät ausführen.

• Das Gerät nicht in Wasser tauchen!

• Nach jedem Gebrauch den Führungskamm abnehmen und Haarreste vom

Schneidkopf und seinem Sitz mit dem Bürstchen entfernen.

• Das Gerätegehäuse mit einem weichen, eventuell leicht feuchten Tuch reinigen.

Keinesfalls Lösemittel oder Scheuermittel verwenden!

• Den Schneidkopf (Abb. 8) abnehmen und die Klingen (ausgenommen

Keramikklingen) und den Sitz des innenliegenden Motorzapfens regelmäßig

ölen.

• Falls nach längerem Gebrauch und trotz ordnungsgemäßer Reinigung und

Ölung die Schneidleistung des Gerätes nachlässt, muss der Schneidkopf

ersetzt werden.

• Der Führungskamm kann nach Gebrauch und Reinigung des Gerätes wieder

auf den Schneidkopf aufgesetzt werden, da er auch eine Schutzfunktion hat.

• Der Keramikklingensatz braucht nicht geölt zu werden. 

ENTSORGUNG

• Das Gerät muss entsprechend den Umweltschutzvorschriften entsorgt werden.

Dieses Gerät erfüllt die Bestimmungen der europäischen Richtlinien

2004/108/EG, 2009/125/EG, 2006/95/EG und der Verordnung (EG) Nr.

278/2009.

GARANTIEBEDINGUNGEN 

VALERA leistet für dieses Gerät – zusätzlich zu der gesetzlichen Gewährleistung

des Händlers aus Kaufvertrag – dem Endabnehmer gegenüber eine Garantie zu

nachstehenden Bedingungen:

1. Für dieses Gerät gelten die Garantiebedingungen unseres Händlers im

Verkaufsland. In der Schweiz und in den Ländern, wo die europäische

Verordnung 44/99/CE gilt, beträgt die Garantiezeit 24 Monate bei privatem

Gebrauch und 12 Monate bei gewerblichem oder einem solchen

gleichzusetzenden Gebrauch. Die Garantiezeit beginnt am Kauftag des Gerätes,

der durch die ausgefüllte Garantiekarte oder einen sonstigen Kaufbeleg

nachzuweisen ist.

2. Die Garantie wird nur bei Vorlage der Garantiekarte oder eines Kaufbeleges

geleistet.

3. Die Garantieleistung umfasst die Behebung aller innerhalb der Garantiezeit

auftretenden Mängel des Gerätes, die nachweislich auf Material- oder

Fertigungsfehlern beruhen. Die Behebung der Mängel kann nach unserer Wahl

durch Instandsetzung oder durch Umtausch des Gerätes erfolgen. Nicht unter

Garantie fallen Mängel oder Schäden, die durch nicht vorschriftsmässigen

elektrischen Anschluss, durch unsachgemässe Handhabung sowie durch

Nichtbeachtung der Gebrauchsanleitung entstanden sind.

4. Weitere Ansprüche irgendwelcher Art, insbesondere solche auf Ersatz

ausserhalb des Gerätes entstandener Schäden, sind – soweit die Haftung nicht

zwingend gesetzlich angeordnet ist – ausgeschlossen.

5. Die Garantieleistungen werden ohne Berechnung durchgeführt; sie bewirken

weder eine Verlängerung noch einen Neubeginn der Garantiezeit.

6. Diese Garantie erlischt bei Eingriff nicht autorisierter Stellen.

Sollten Sie die Garantie in Anspruch nehmen müssen, dann senden Sie bitte das

defekte Gerät gut verpackt an eine unserer autorisierten Service-Stellen.

Vergessen Sie nicht, unbedingt die Garantiekarte und/oder den Kaufbeleg

beizufügen, da ohne diese keine Garantieleistung erfolgen kann.

MODE D’EMPLOI

Mod. 642.01 – Tondeuse professionnelle

Nous vous prions de lire attentivement les instructions suivantes et de les

conserver avec soin: elles contiennent des informations importantes en

matière de sécurité et d’utilisation de l’appareil.

AVERTISSEMENTS 

• Important: pour garantir une protection optimale, il est conseillé d’installer dans l’installation électrique alimentant l’appareil un interrupteur différentiel avec une prise de courant différentielle ne dépassant pas 30 mA. Contactez votre électrotechnicien de confiance pour tout renseignement complémentaire. • Vérifier que l’appareil soit complètement sec avant de l’utiliser • ATTENTION: ne pas utiliser cet appareil à proximité de baignoires, de lavabos ou autres récipients contenant de l'eau. • Il est requit un âge minimum de 8 ans pour l’utilisation de cet appareil. L’utilisation de cet appareil par des personnes aux capacités physiques, sensorielles ou mentales réduites est fortement déconseillée à moins qu’elles soient surveillées ou qu’elles aient été instruites correctement quant à l’utilisation de l’appareil de la part de tiers • Cet appareil doit être tenu hors de portée des enfants. • Le nettoyage et l’entretien de l’appareil ne doivent pas être effectuées par des enfants non surveillés.

• Reliez l’appareil à une prise de courant alternatif et contrôlez que la tension de

courant. Ne pas sortir la fiche de la prise de courant en tirant sur le câble.

• Ne débranchez pas l’appareil de la prise de courant avec les mains mouillées.

• Avant d'allumer l'appareil, vérifiez son état et contrôlez l’alimentateur ainsi que

le câble d’alimentation.

• N’utilisez pas l’appareil s’il présente des anomalies. N’essayez pas de réparer

vous-même l’appareil électrique, adressez-vous à un technicien agréé. Tout

câble d’alimentation endommagé doit être remplacé par le fabricant, son

service d’assistance technique ou par une personne ayant une compétence

analogue de façon à éviter tout risque de choc électrique.

• En cas d’utilisation de l’appareil dans une salle de bains, débranchez-le après

utilisation car la présence d’eau dans la même pièce pourrait être dangereux,

même si l’appareil est éteint.

• Les éléments qui constituent l’emballage de l’appareil (sacs plastique, boîte en

carton etc.) ne doivent pas être laissés à portée des enfants car ils représentent

une source de danger potentiel.

• Cet appareil ne doit être utilisé que pour l’emploi pour lequel il a été

expressément conçu. Tout autre usage est inadéquat et donc dangereux. Le

fabricant ne peut être considéré comme responsable des éventuels dommages

dérivant d’un usage non approprié.

• N'exposez pas la tondeuse à des températures inférieures à 0°C ou supérieures

à 40°C. Evitez l'exposition direct et prolongée au rayonnement solaire.

• Ne pas laisser l'appareil branché dans un milieu humide et ne pas le brancher

lorsqu'il est mouillé.

• La tondeuse est dotée d'une batterie NiMH. Pour le respect de l'environnement,

il est conseillé il est recommandé d’amener les piles usagées dans un centre de

tri prévu à cet effet. Jeter les piles dans la poubelle est déconseillé.

• Demander à des techniciens qualifiés de déposer la batterie ou s’adresser à un

centre de récupération.

• Ne laissez pas la batterie dans un endroit humide ou en contact avec des

substances liquides

• Tenez la batterie à l’écart de champs magnétiques, sources de chaleur et

flammes libres.

• Risque de se griffer ou de se couper. Si un peigne ou un kit de lames est

endommagé, ne pas l'utiliser mais le remplacer immédiatement.

• Prenez soin de ne pas griffer la peau en utilisant l’appareil avec les kits de lames

sans peigne.

L’appareil peut fonctionner tant en alimentation de secteur qu’en modalité

cordless (sans cordon) car il est équipé d’une batterie rechargeable.

MISE EN MARCHE ET ARRÊT DE L’APPAREIL

Pour mettre l’appareil en marche, mettre l’interrupteur (fig. 1 - rep.3) sur la position

1. Pour l’arrêter, remettre l’interrupteur sur la position 0.

ALIMENTATION SUR SECTEUR

Branchez le transformateur (fig.1 - rep.9) en insérant la fiche dans la prise de

l’appareil (fig.1 - rep.5). 

Branchez le transformateur à la prise de courant.

Avertissement: la batterie étant complètement à plat, si la tondeuse ne fonctionne

pas avec l’alimentation secteur, éteignez la tondeuse, chargez la batterie pendant

environ 5 minutes et rallumez la tondeuse branchée au secteur.

RECHARGE DE LA BATTERIE

• Avant d’utiliser la tondeuse pour la première fois, chargez impérativement la

batterie pendant 24 heures. Pour les autres occurrences, laissez la tondeuse

en charge pendant au moins 8 heures.

• Éteignez la tondeuse avec l’interrupteur (fig.1 - rep.3). La recharge de la bat-

terie ne peut s’effectuer que tondeuse éteinte.

• Branchez le transformateur (fig.1 - rep.9) en insérant la fiche dans la prise de

l’appareil (fig.1 - rep.5) ou bien branchez le transformateur avec la base (fig.1

- rep.6) en insérant la fiche dans la prise de la base (fig.1 - rep.7) et posez la

tondeuse dans la base.

• Branchez le transformateur à la prise de courant.

• Pendant cette opération, le témoin de charge en cours (fig.1 - rep.4) s’allume.

• Ne rechargez la batterie que si vous constatez une franche diminution de la

puissance de coupe. 

• Avec la batterie totalement rechargée, vous pouvez utiliser la tondeuse pen-

dant 60 minutes sans alimentation secteur.

COUPE AVEC GUIDES

En fonction du style de coupe désiré, vous pouvez utilisez la tondeuse avec ou sans

guides. Il existe deux séries de peignes : une à associer au jeu de lames en céra-

mique et l’autre utilisable avec le jeu de lames pour finitions, contours et barbe.

Chaque série de peignes permet d’obtenir les longueurs de coupe suivantes :

• Peigne n° 4 de 12,8 mm (fig.1 - rep.14 et 19)

• Peigne n° 3 de 10 mm (fig.1 - rep.15 et 20)

• Peigne n° 2 de 6,8 mm (fig.1 - rep.16 et 21)

• Peigne n° 1 de 4 mm (fig.1 - rep.17 et 22)

• Peigne n° 0 de 2 mm (fig.1 - rep.18 et 23)

• Peigne pour dégradés (fig.1 - rep.24)

• Sans peigne : 0,6 mm

UTILISATION DES DIFFÉRENTES LAMES

Avec la tondeuse sont fournis différents set de lames :

- lames en céramique pour coupe de cheveux (fig.1 - rep.2),

- lames pour finitions, contours et barbe (fig.1 - rep.25),

- lames pour sculptures effets spéciaux et finitions (fig.1 - rep.26).

LAMES EN CÉRAMIQUE

Le système de lames en céramique garantit dans le temps une coupe extrême-

ment précise sans nécessité de lubrification

DEMONTAGE DES PEIGNES GUIDE

• Éteignez la tondeuse.

• Pour déposer le peigne, le débloquer comme indiqué en (fig.8).

• Pour reposer le peigne, suivez les instructions en (fig.3) : insérez d’abord la

partie antérieure dans le logement (A), puis poussez la partie postérieure pour

le bloquer (B).

CHANGEMENT DES LAMES

• Éteignez la tondeuse.

• Pour déposer les lames, sortez-les de leur logement par le dessous comme

indiqué en (fig.8).

• Pour reposer les lames, suivez les instructions en (fig.9) : insérez d’abord la

partie postérieure dans le logement (A), puis poussez la partie antérieure pour

terminer la mise en place (B).

CONSEILS POUR LA COUPE

COUPES DE CHEVEUX COURTS

• Choisissez le peigne-guide de la hauteur de coupe adaptée. Commencez de

préférence avec un guide plus haut et éventuellement passer ensuite à un

autre plus court.

• Coupez les cheveux secs, faites des passages courts et avancez doucement.

• Coiffez les cheveux au fur et à mesure que vous avancez pour enlever les che-

veux coupés et pour contrôler le résultat de la coupe.

• NUQUE: commencez par le centre de la nuque, en partant du bas (fig.4) et en

exécutant des passages courts jusqu’au centre de la tête (fig.5), puis conti-

nuez vers les côtés.

• CÔTÉS: utilisez de préférence un peigne-guide plus bas et procédez comme

pour la nuque. 

Pour affiner les pattes et la zone autour des oreilles, utilisez la tondeuse sans

peigne-guide et orientée vers le bas.

• PARTIE SUPÉRIEURE : utilisez un peigne-guide plus haut. Commencez par le

front et continuez vers le centre de la tête.

COUPE DE CHEVEUX LONGS

• Procédez toujours de la même façon, en partant de la nuque vers le haut, puis

les côtés et enfin la partie supérieure.

• Pour régler la longueur de coupe, utilisez le peigne de coiffeur (fig.6) ou bien

aidez-vous avec les doigts (fig.7), en utilisant la tondeuse sans peigne-guide.

NETTOYAGE ET ENTRETIEN

Effectuez le nettoyage et l’entretien après chaque utilisation.

• Avant d’entreprendre une opération d’entretien ou de remplacement, assurez-

vous que la tondeuse est ÉTEINTE et débranchée du transformateur.

• Ne plongez pas la tondeuse dans l’eau !

• Après l’utilisation, retirez le peigne-guide et débarrassez les cheveux de la tête

de coupe et de son logement avec la brossette de nettoyage.

• Nettoyez le corps de la tondeuse avec un chiffon souple, éventuellement humi-

de. N’utilisez en aucun cas des solvants ou détergents abrasifs !

• Déposez la tête de coupe (fig.8) et huilez régulièrement les lames, sauf celles

en céramique, et le logement de l’axe moteur situé sur le côté interne.

• Si le rendement de coupe tend à diminuer après un usage prolongé et malgré

un nettoyage et une lubrification réguliers, remplacez la tête de coupe.

• Le peigne-guide peut être remis en place après l’utilisation et le nettoyage de

la tondeuse car il a aussi pour fonction de protéger la lame.

• Le jeu de lames en céramique ne nécessite pas de lubrification.

ÉLIMINATION

• L’élimination de la tondeuse se fera selon la loi antipollution.

Cet appareil est conforme aux directives européennes 2004/108/CE,

2009/125/CE, 2006/95/CE et au règlement (CE) N. 278/2009.

GARANTIE

VALERA garantit l’appareil que vous venez d’acheter aux conditions suivantes:

1. Les conditions de garantie applicables sont celles qui sont définies par notre

distributeur officiel dans le pays d'achat. En Suisse et dans les pays où la

directive européenne 44/99/CE est en vigueur, la période couverte par la

garantie est  de 24 mois pour un usage domestique et de 12 mois pour un

usage professionnel ou assimilé. La période de garantie commence à courir  à

compter de la date d'achat de ’l'appareil. La date d'achat est la date qui figure

sur le présent certificat de garantie dûment rempli et portant de cachet du

vendeur ou sur la facture d'achat.

2. La garantie n’est applicable que sous présentation de ce certificat de garantie

ou du document d’achat.

3. La garantie couvre l’élimination de tous les défauts s’étant vérifiés lors de la

période de garantie dérivant de défauts de matériaux ou de fabrication prouvés.

L’élimination des défauts de l’appareil peut s’effectuer soit en le réparant soit en

le remplaçant. La garantie ne couvre pas les défauts ni les dommages

provoqués par un branchement au réseau électrique non conforme aux

normes, par un usage incorrect du produit et par le non-respect des Normes

d’Utilisation.

4. Toute autre revendication, de quelque nature que ce soit, est exclue, en

particulier celle concernant le remboursement d’éventuels dommages en

dehors de l’appareil, à l’exception de l’éventuelle responsabilité expressément

définie par les lois en vigueur.

5. Le service de garantie est réalisé gratuitement. Il ne représente pas une

prolongation ni un nouveau départ de la période de garantie.

6. La garantie échoit si l’appareil est altéré ou réparé par des personnes non

autorisées.

En cas de panne, renvoyer l’appareil correctement emballé avec le certificat de

garantie correctement daté et timbré par le vendeur à l’un de nos Centres

d’Assistance agréés ou au magasin d’achat qui l’enverra à l’importateur officiel

pour la réparation sous garantie.

• Tenere la batteria a debita distanza da campi magnetici, fonti di calore e fiamme

libere. 

• Pericolo di graffi o tagli. Se un pettine o un set di lame è danneggiato non

utilizzarlo ma sostituirlo immediatamente.

• Prestare attenzione a non graffiare la pelle se si utilizza l’apparecchio con i set

di lame senza pettini.

L’apparecchio può funzionare sia con alimentazione di rete che in modalità

cordless (senza cavo) perché dotato di batteria ricaricabile.

ACCENSIONE E SPEGNIMENTO DELL’APPARECCHIO

Per accendere l’apparecchio posizionare l’interruttore (fig. 1 – rif.3) sulla posizione

1. Per spegnerlo riportare l’interruttore sulla posizione 0.

ALIMENTAZIONE DI RETE

Collegare l’alimentatore (fig.1 - riferimento 9) infilando la spina nella relativa presa

dell’apparecchio (fig.1 - rif.5). Collegare l’alimentatore alla presa di corrente.

Avvertenza: se l’apparecchio, a batteria completamente scarica, non dovesse

funzionare con l’alimentazione dalla rete, spegnere l’apparecchio, caricare la

batteria per cinque minuti circa e riaccendere l’apparecchio collegato alla rete.

RICARICA DELLA BATTERIA

• Prima di utilizzare l’apparecchio per la prima volta è necessario caricare la batteria

per 24 ore. Le volte successive lasciare l’apparecchio in carica almeno 8 ore.

• Spegnere l’apparecchio con l’interruttore (fig.1 - rif.3). La ricarica della batteria

è possibile solo ad apparecchio spento.

• Collegare l’alimentatore (fig.1 - rif.9) infilando la spina nella relativa presa

dell’apparecchio (fig.1 - rif.5).

Oppure collegare l’alimentatore con la base (fig.1 - rif.6) infilando la spina nella

presa della base (fig.1 - rif.7) e appoggiarvi l’apparecchio.

• Collegare l’alimentatore alla presa di corrente.

• Durante questa operazione si accende la spia (fig.1 - rif.4) che indica appunto

la ricarica in corso.

• Ricaricare la batteria solo quando si nota una netta diminuzione di potenza

dell’apparecchio. 

• A batteria completamente carica, l’apparecchio può essere usato per 60 minuti

senza collegamento alla rete elettrica.

TAGLIO CON I PETTINI GUIDA

A seconda del tipo di taglio desiderato, è possibile usare l’apparecchio con o

senza pettini guida. Esistono due serie di pettini: una abbinabile al set di lame in

ceramica e l’altra utilizzabile con il set di lame per rifiniture, contorni e barba.

Ogni serie di pettini consente di ottenere le seguenti lunghezze di taglio:

• Pettine n° 4 da 12,8 mm (fig.1 - rif.14 e 19)

• Pettine n° 3 da 10 mm (fig.1 - rif.15 e 20)

• Pettine n° 2 da 6.8 mm (fig.1 - rif.16 e 21)

• Pettine n° 1 da 4 mm (fig.1 - rif.17 e 22)

• Pettine n° 0 da 2 mm (fig.1 - rif.18 e 23)

• Pettine per sfumature (fig.1 - rif.24)

• Senza pettine: 0.6 mm

UTILIZZO DELLE VARIE LAME

Vengono date in dotazione vari set di lame:

- set di lame ceramica per taglio capelli (fig.1 - rif.2),

- set di lame per rifiniture, contorni e barba (fig.1 - rif.25),

- set di lame per scolpire effetti speciali e rifiniture (fig.1 - rif.26).

LAME IN CERAMICA 

Il sistema di lame in ceramica garantisce nel tempo un taglio estremamente pre-

ciso senza necessità di lubrificazione.

SMONTAGGIO DEI PETTINI GUIDA

• Spegnere l’apparecchio

• Per rimuovere il pettine sbloccarlo come indicato in (fig.2).

• Per rimontare il pettine, seguire le indicazioni in (fig.3): inserire prima la parte

anteriore nella sede (A), quindi premere sulla parte posteriore per bloccarlo

(B).

SMONTAGGIO DELLE LAME

• Spegnere l’apparecchio.

• Per rimuovere le lame, spingerle fuori dalla sede dal di sotto come indicato in

(fig.8).

• Per rimontare le lame, seguire le indicazioni in (fig.9): inserire prima la parte

posteriore nella sede (A), quindi spingere la parte anteriore per chiudere (B).

CONSIGLI PER IL TAGLIO

TAGLIO DI CAPELLI CORTI

• Scegliere il pettine guida della lunghezza adatta. Si consiglia di iniziare usando

un pettine più lungo ed eventualmente passare a uno più corto in un secondo

tempo.

• Tagliare i capelli asciutti, fare passate brevi e avanzare dolcemente.

• Pettinate i capelli man mano che procedete per rimuovere i capelli tagliati e per

verificare il risultato del taglio.

• NUCA: Iniziare dal centro della nuca, partendo dal basso (fig.4) e facendo

passate brevi fino al centro della testa (fig.5), andando man mano verso i lati.

• LATI: Si consiglia di usare un pettine guida più corto, procedendo allo stesso

modo della nuca. 

Per rifinire le basette e la zona attorno alle orecchie, usare l’apparecchio senza

pettine guida e rivolto verso il basso.

• PARTE SUPERIORE: Usare un pettine guida più lungo. Iniziare dalla fronte e

andare indietro verso il centro della testa.

TAGLIO DI CAPELLI LUNGHI

• Procedere sempre con lo stesso metodo, partendo dalla nuca verso l’alto,

quindi i lati e la parte superiore.

• Per regolare la lunghezza di taglio utilizzare il pettine da barbiere (fig.6) oppure

aiutarsi con le dita (fig.7), usando l’apparecchio senza pettini guida.

PULIZIA E MANUTENZIONE 

Eseguire la pulizia e la manutenzione dopo ogni utilizzo.

• Qualsiasi operazione di manutenzione o sostituzione va eseguita ad

apparecchio SPENTO e scollegato dall’alimentatore.

• Non immergere l’apparecchio in acqua!

• Dopo ogni uso, togliere il pettine guida ed eliminare con lo spazzolino i resti di

capelli dalla testa di taglio e dalla sua sede.

• Pulire il corpo dell’apparecchio con un panno morbido, eventualmente

leggermente umido. Non utilizzare in nessun caso solventi o detergenti abrasivi!

• Rimuovere la testa di taglio (fig. 8) e oliare regolarmente le lame non in ceramica

e la sede del perno motore situato sul lato interno.

• Se dopo un uso prolungato e malgrado regolare pulizia e lubrificazione, la resa

di taglio dell’apparecchio tende a ridursi, sarà necessario sostituire la testa di

taglio.

• Il pettine guida, dopo l’uso e la pulizia dell’apparecchio, può essere riapplicato

poiché ha anche una funzione di protezione della lama.

• Il set lame in ceramica non necessita di essere oliato. 

SMALTIMENTO

• L’apparecchio andrà smaltito nel rispetto delle norme di tutela dell’ambiente.

Questo apparecchio è conforme alle direttive europee 2004/108/CE,

2009/125/CE, 2006/95/CE ed al regolamento (CE) N. 278/2009.

GARANZIA 

VALERA garantisce l’apparecchio da Voi acquistato alle seguenti condizioni:

1. Sono valide le condizioni di garanzia stabilite dal nostro distributore ufficiale nel

paese di acquisto. In Svizzera e nei paesi dove è in vigore la direttiva europea

44/99/CE il periodo di garanzia è di 24 mesi per un uso domestico e di 12 mesi

per un uso professionale o analogo. Il periodo di garanzia parte dalla data di

acquisto dell’apparecchio. Come data di acquisto fa stato la data risultante o dal

presente certificato di garanzia debitamente compilato e timbrato dal venditore

o dal documento di acquisto.

2. La garanzia è applicabile solo dietro presentazione del presente certificato di

garanzia o del documento di acquisto.

3. La garanzia copre l’eliminazione di tutti quei difetti insorti durante il periodo di

garanzia dovuti a comprovati difetti di materiali o di fabbricazione. L’eliminazione

dei difetti dell’apparecchio può avvenire o riparandolo o sostituendo il prodotto

stesso. La garanzia non copre difetti o danni causati da allacciamento alla rete

elettrica non conforme alle norme, da uso improprio del prodotto come anche

da non osservanza delle Norme d’Uso.

4. È esclusa ogni altra rivendicazione di qualsiasi natura, in particolare di

risarcimento di eventuali danni al di fuori dell’apparecchio, eccettuata la

eventuale responsabilità espressamente stabilita dalle leggi vigenti.

5. Il servizio di garanzia viene eseguito senza addebito; esso non costituisce un

prolungamento o un nuovo inizio del periodo di garanzia.

6. La garanzia decade se l’apparecchio viene manomesso o riparato da persone

non autorizzate.

In caso di guasto, ritornate l’apparecchio ben imballato e con il certificato di

garanzia regolarmente datato e timbrato dal venditore a uno dei nostri Centri

Assistenza autorizzati o al Vostro negoziante che provvederà a inviarlo

all’importatore ufficiale per la riparazione in garanzia.

Il simbolo          sul prodotto o sulla confezione indica che il prodotto non deve

essere considerato come un normale rifiuto domestico, ma deve essere portato
