Installation 6.1
The GSM Module can be installed directly on a solid base (e.g. a wall). For this purpose it is not necessary
to disassemble the products it should be fastened using appropriate screws and pins.
The RF antenna can be installed directly on a solid base (e.g. a wall). For this purpose it is not necessary to
disassemble the products it should be fastened using appropriate screws and pins or the adhesive part
fixed behind the antenna.
Fix and install the GSM controller and the RF antenna in accordance with the following rules:
Pay attention before the installation of your products, some routing rules should be made to guaranty
an optimal working.
- In order to install and use the V27 GSM module you must choose the method of communication
with the V24 Central unit, by using the BUS communication or the RF antenna.
Pay attention to not connect both methods in the same time.

- The receiver & the RF antenna must be put at a minimum distance of 50cm of all others electri-
cal or wireless materials like Wi-Fi router, electrical panel…
- The receiver and the RF antenna can’t be fixed on or inside a metallic part (cabinet…) to avoid
GSM signal attenuation.
- Before wiring the BUS connection, the main power supply of V27 GSM module and V24
Centrale must imperatively be de-energized.
- See the fig4 in part 6.2 for electrical connections
Electrical connections 6.2

Wiring recommendation for “Bus” Connection
- If the wiring distance between the V24 and V27 is more than 10 me-
ters you must use a Shielded cable
(Type “LiYCY” or equivalent, in
this case the distance can be along up to 25M).
- The cable must always be mounted alone in a separate electrical
conduit to avoid electrical perturbation.

- Instructions for maximum radio sensibility:
- A vertically position will be better for the RF recep-
tion.
- A placement of minimum 50cm of any metallic
surfaces (Electrical Box) or vertical metallic pipes
will be preferred.
- In house with several floors, if the V24 Central is
placed on the first floor, it will be better to place the
Antenna as high as possible.

First start – install a SIM-card in the GSM-controller and control the working 6.3
- Unplug the power supply of the GSM controller
- Install a SIM card, (*without PIN code) in the right side of the controller (See picture below).
* In order use a mobile phone to de-activate the PIN code.
- Now if the GSM is used with wireless communication, plug the RF antenna RJ45 connector on
the GSM unit.
- Plug 230V/9VDC power supply (only the plug adaptor supplied or one with the same character-
istics can be used).
- Then the unit starts the initialisation (up to 1 min) and connection to the GSM network. During in-
itialisation the two first LED must blink alternatively (Green/Red), the network LED starts to blink
when connected to the network.
- Your GSM Module is now ready to work and be linked with your installation, to make this put
your GSM Module in “init” mode by pressing 5 sec on the push button, the antenna LED must
shine in green fix.
- Go to your V24 Central and active the GSM pairing mode, (see the V24 leaflet for more infor-
mation)
- Once the pairing made between V24 Central and V27 GSM unit, you can check the SMS func-
tionality.
If the GSM controller is supplied with an internal battery, a preliminary time charge for 24H will be need-
ed to have the power supply supervising function SMS alert.

7 Description of control by SMS possibilities.
You will have different possibilities of SMS with your GSM module, you can receive general information, for
a specific zone, change the setting of one room…
In order to send a SMS note that a complete international phone number shall be used.
Example: +33xxxxxxxxxxxxx.
SMS of Unknown command 7.1
Your GSM Module is able to send to you a message with all text available if you sent a wrong text as SMS.
Unknown command message
For text sending is not necessary to follow the word uppercase.
SMS = General Temperature status 7.2
To receive all room temperatures of your house, send a SMS to your GSM module with the text “ALL”
Then the module should answer you with a SMS like this:
Example
My HOME
Z1 = xx°C
Z2 = xx°C
...
...
...
Z10 = xx°C
The number of zones displayed will be in function of your installation.
27
Indicates the number of the zone “Zxx” with actual room temperature in °C.
Due to the maximum size of characters of a SMS format, the maximum number of
zone on one SMS will be 10, if your installation use more than 10 zones, you will
receive other SMS with the rest of installation.

1 Application
