A. The straightening head with two rows of teeth
The ergonomic dual straightening head of the BE Liss airbrush makes it especially easy to use: hair dried and straightened from
roots to tips in just on stroke!
The two rows of teeth let you straighten twice in just one stroke for greater eciency and speed. The Ceramic coating provides
perfect glide through your hair and guarantees perfect straightening, while completely respecting the hair.

C. 20mm round boar-bristle brush
This diameter is more specically adapted for the nishing touches: it will highlight the shape of specic sections of hair like the
fringe, the tips or the roots.
Its use can also be varied according to the length of your hair:
- on short hair, it can be used horizontally as the rotating head for a smooth and natural blow-dry, with ends turned under or out.
- on long hair, it can be used vertically to create the eect of spiral curls at the tips.

Specially designed for curls or tight curls, this accessory dries hair naturally, without damaging it, thanks to an adjusted airow. This

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Preparing your hair before straightening or blow-drying
1. After shampooing your hair, towel dry and untangle it carefully with a large-toothed comb.
Advice from the hairstylist
Always start untangling your wet hair at the tips, then gradually work your way up. Gentle untangling prevents split ends from forming.
2. Pre dry your hair using the BE Liss brushing without attachment and leave it damp. (1)
Advice from the hairstylist
- To give your hairstyle more volume, pre-dry your hair with your head bent forward to lift the roots better.
- However, if you would rather have less volume, hold your head straight when pre-drying.
3. Work in steps:
• Use clips to separate your combed and untangled hair into sections about 2cm wide.
• Lift the upper sections of your hair and pin to the top of your head to begin with the sections of hair at the nape of the neck and
the sections underneath. Continue with the sections at the back of the head and then the sections on the side. Finish with the
sections on the top.
• Carefully work on the sections one at a time either with the straightening head, with the rotating head, with the smallest round
brush or with the diuser depending on the length of hair and the desired hairstyle.
Attaching and removing the accessories
To attach the head (straightening or rotating), the small-diameter round brush or the diuser to the body of the unit, line up the
guides of the two parts and press until you hear a click.
To remove the brush, press on the unlocking buttons located on the sides of the unit and gently pull the accessory o.
Two directions to turn the rotating head
To roll the section of hair around the rotating head automatically, press the button for the desired direction (right or left) and hold
throughout the blow-drying. The right or left rotation corresponds to the handling as well as to the desired eect of blow-drying
under or out. To stop rotating, release the button.
Using the Be Liss straightening head
Perfect straightening and lustre!
• Select the tension that’s right for your hair using the Tensio Control System® (1. waves, 2. loose curls, 3. tight curls, 4. very tight
curls). (2)
Advice from the hairstylist
- When using the unit for the rst time, select tension 1 (lowest tension) to become familiar with the BE Liss blow-dryer
- Then gradually increase the tension until you nd the setting that is most appropriate for your hair.
Caution! Regardless of the straightening you want, we recommend holding, with your other hand, the tips of the section of hair to
straighten so that the hair remains evenly distributed between the teeth of the straightening head. And, when straightening, make
sure you position the roots of the small section of hair at the base of the teeth of the comb, then slowly and steadily move the unit
down the section of hair while holding the tips of the section with your other hand. (3)
Straightening while increasing or reducing volume?
• To reduce the volume of thick hair, place the straightening combs on top of the section of hair and slide them slowly along the
section from roots to tips.
• To add volume to ne or at hair, place the straightening combs under the section of hair. It will straighten while lifting the roots
and giving your hair volume. (4)
• Repeat on all your hair and don’t forget the cool-air shot to perfect the hold.
Volume eect at the roots
• Separate a 3cm section of hair and place the straightening comb under the section as closely as possible to the roots. Make sure
that the comb goes through your hair completely.
• Turn your BE Liss brushing about 45° while gently sliding it towards the tips. This rotating movement will give your roots a maxi-
mum of volume! (5)
• Repeat the operation if necessary and don’t forget the cool-air shot on the section to perfect the hold.
Shaping
The BE Liss straightening head is also perfect for your daily ‘quick comb’: you have a stray section to tame, your hairstyle lacks
oomph, etc. In just 2 minutes, you will return shine and volume to your hairstyle using the same techniques described above, but
this time on dry hair.

Using the 50mm rotating head
A simple blow-dry for a glamorous, sensual hairstyle and hair, easy!
Perfect for medium-length and long hair
• To prepare the section and to untangle, lift the roots of the small section and straighten the section, with the unit set to hot, in
one or two strokes but without turning the brush; (6)
• Hold the section of hair at a 90° angle to your head so that the hair underneath doesn’t get tangled; (7)
• Slide the brush over the section while turning the brush, but not completely, repeat several times while sliding the brush from
the roots to the tips; (8)
• Finish with a full turn of the section around the brush from roots to tips, hold a few seconds so that the section is completely
heated and shaped and so that the roots are lifted; (9)
• Repeat the operation if necessary, according to your hair type;
• Don’t forget the shot of cool air at the end for a long-lasting set. To do this, use the cool-air shot without turning the rotating
head.
Blow-drying outwards
Place the brush under the section at the tips of your hair, and start the automatic rotation to turn outwards. (10) + (11)

Caution! When you have nished using the rotating head, do not place it, as is, on the support, you risk damaging and bending the
bristles. Store it in the case intended for this purpose. (14)
Using the 20mm round brush
For soft blow-dried volume!
Optimal horizontal use on short hair
• To prepare the section and to untangle it, start at the roots of the small section and straighten the section in one or two strokes
with the unit set at hot;
• Hold the section at a 90° angle from the head to prevent the hair underneath from tangling;
• Slide the section over the brush by turning the tips around the brush;
• If your hair is long enough, nish with a full turn of the section around the brush by rolling back up to the roots and hold a few
seconds, so that the section is completely heated and shaped and so that the roots are full;
• Repeat if necessary, depending on your hair type;
• Finish with a shot of cool air for a long-lasting set of the hairstyle.
For spiral curls at the tips!
Optimal vertical use on long hair
• Take a small section of hair and start at the tips;
• Roll the section around the brush held vertically starting at the tips and making sure the tip is held securely on the brush;
• Take the section wound around the brush up to the roots and hold a few seconds, so that the section is completed heated and
takes the desired shape;
• Gently unwind the hair from the brush without pulling your hair, simply rotate in the other direction; (15)
• Repeat if necessary, depending on your hair type;
• Set your hairstyle using the shot of cool air;
• Reshape the curl with your ngers and use some hairspray or or styling lacquer for a hold that lasts longer. (16)
For the nishing touches!
The small brush lets you highlight the movement of certain sections, like redesigning the fringe or accentuating the are of the
tips, under or outwards.
Using the diuser
The diuser dries curly or very curly hair preserving their natural volume. While drying, shape your hair with your ngers to give it
more volume. Do not brush your hair afterwards to preserve the natural eect. (17)
Use the diuser for permed, dry, fragile or damaged hair.
MAINTENANCE OF THE UNIT
• Unplug the unit and allow to cool completely before cleaning or storing.
• We recommend cleaning the straightening and rotating heads, the brush and the diuser regularly to prevent accumulation
of hair, styling products, etc. Use a comb to remove hair from the rotating head and the small brush. Use a dry or very slightly
dampened cloth for the plastic and ceramic surfaces.
• To maintain the boar bristles on the rotating head in perfect condition, make sure you store the brush in the case provided for
this purpose after each use. (14)
• Use the case provided to store the body of the unit and its accessories until the next time you use it.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
• WARNING: the polyethylene bags over the product or its packaging may be dangerous. Keep these bags out of the
reach of babies and children. Never use them in cribs, children’s beds, pushchairs or playpens. The thin lm may cling
to the nose and mouth and prevent breathing. A bag is not a toy.
• WARNING: Do not use over or near washbasins, bathtubs, showers or other containers with water. Store the unit in a
dry place.
• If you are using the unit in a bathroom, unplug it after you have nished using it. Using the unit close to a source of
water can, in fact, be dangerous, even if the unit is switched o. To ensure additional protection, have installed in your
bathroom a residual current device (RCD) with a nominal trip current no higher than 30 mA. Ask your electrical tter
for advice.
• Never immerse the unit in water or any other liquid.
• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its after-sales service or a similarly qualied person to
avoid a hazard.
• When using the unit, make sure the unit’s air vent is not blocked. Make sure there is no hair or any other dirt obstructing the unit’s
rear lter.
• This unit has been equipped with a temperature cut-out. If the unit overheats, it will shut o automatically or will stop heating.
If this happens, slide the switch on the unit’s handle into the OFF position, unplug the unit and allow it to cool for 10 minutes.
BEFORE using it again, make sure there is no hair or any other dirt in the unit’s rear lter. Plug the unit in and switch it on. If it
overheats again, stop using it immediately, switch it o and unplug it. Return the unit to the BaByliss service centre.
• Do not use the unit if it has fallen or if it appears to be damaged.
• Do not leave the unit unattended when it is plugged in or switched on.
• Unplug the unit immediately if you have problems when using it.
• Do not use any accessories other than those recommended by BaByliss.
• Unplug the unit after each use and before cleaning it.
• Avoid any contact between the unit’s hot surfaces and your skin, in particular, your ears, eyes, face and neck.
• This unit is not intended for use by people (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or by per-
sons who lack experience or knowledge, unless they are supervised or have been given instructions beforehand on the use of the
unit by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to make sure they do not treat the unit like a toy.
• Allow the unit to cool before storing.
• To prevent damage to the cord, do not wrap it around the unit and ensure it is stored without twisting or folding it.
• This unit complies with the standards recommended by Directives 04/108/EEC (electromagnetic compatibility) and 06/95/EEC
(safety of domestic electrical equipment).
END-OF-LIFE ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT
In everybody’s interest and to participate actively in protecting the environment:
